Had a Sunday roast followed by chocolate fudge cake. Both were pleasant. I would love however to see more homemade meats just to make it feel extra special.

Read moreI’ve never had meat steak, so I opted for the ReDefine flank with peppercorn sauce and it was out of this world!
My husband isn’t vegan and is normally fussy but he was spoilt for choice and had the battered fishless fillet & chips which he also had nothing but compliments for!
Even though we were pretty full we also had beautiful desserts, berry cheesecake and Jaffa fudge cake
This is somewhere we will visit again for sure!

We had the Sunday roast, very generous portions, beautifully cooked, lots of fresh veg, gravy, stuffing and vegan Yorkshire puddings. All very full after but had to try one of the puddings - went for the raspberry cheesecake which was incredible! A lovely pub, set in pretty surroundings with really friendly staff - we'll be back.

I can't recommend this place enough! 😍The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and it's reasonably priced. Honestly the best food i've eaten, I don't know anywhere else that comes close hence why i've been back so many times and will keep going back untill I've tried the whole menu! I went this evening and had the camembert wedges for starters, fish fillets for main and now i'm sat home eating the raspberry and gin cheesecake (because i get so full I have to take dessert home🤣). Go try this place, you wont regret it ! 😃 10/10. Best of the best.

Honestly one of my favourite restaurants ever, even as a vegetarian me and my friend who isn’t a veggie or a vegan pick this over anything else in town. It has an option for everyone, whatever they’re fancying. I really recommend that you come here and try it for yourself!!

Went for lunch for husband’s birthday. Portions are really good and value for money. I have never eaten a starter, main and pudding…..I did this day. Lovely waiter, happy, chatty, all round lovely! Will be back.

On our holidays through Wales we've been to quite a few places we had really good food at and I thought once or twice,even better wouldn't be possible,but we haven't been to the Queens Inn so far...better is possible! Especially if you are into fake meat food you should fancy going there! On our way to Bristol,where we already booked for dinner,we only popped in for a cake, but stayed for a steak😅 best choice! They are also offering dhal,lasagne,salads,...on their menue for those who don't like meat alternatives. dogs are welcomed and offered dog-ice-crem and little sausages. They also have lots of space and tables outside,as well as a private car park. Definitly worth a visit!!! Thanks to the inventors of veganuary (they stayed vegan after one vegan January 🥰)

Since they opened for Veganuary in 2022 we’ve sampled every menu. I wish we lived closer… very dish is phenomenal. Staff very friendly, outside seating area is gorgeous in summer.

Been here so many times! The staff are always lovely, great service and great food. All vegan so there’s lots of options. Have been here with many non-vegans, all have loved it. Portions a good size.

I was excited about visiting The Queen Inn having followed their Facebook page for a while so took a 45 minute drive out from Cardiff when visiting there.
Read moreWe had a warm welcome and although we’d booked, we were given the option of sitting in the restaurant or lounge. We chose the restaurant.
Drink options were extensive but I was a bit surprised that they had at least one non-vegan beer on offer. This was pointed out by our server straight away so there could be no mistakes.
The menu is extensive with a really good mix of faux meats and vegetables. There really is something for everyone.
I really wanted to try the Redefine shank but bottled out of it in case it was too realistic and grossed me out 😀We opted for crispy b**f and Korean cauliflower wings to start, and then the Queen burger and ch*ckn burger for mains.
All the food was delicious and well-presented.
We really wanted to try dessert but were too full. Next time!
The staff were lovely. Welcoming, knowledgeable, with just the right amount of contact with us for us to feel catered for but unrushed.
We had a great evening and will definitely be back.

Visited here on Saturday 27th may 2023,with 10 friends. Absolutely stunning venue and the surrounding Gardens and river, beautiful. The food was 10/10. I had for starter the camembert bites 10/10 and the buffolo hot wings, then for main I had the tofu ramen. Everything was just perfect, from the staff to the food.

We heard about this place about a year ago and have been waiting to visit ever since! Being from sussex we made a specific detour to visit on a trip around wales. It did NOT disappoint. Going into a everyday pub with its regulars and a classic pub feel and being able to have anything on the menu was so nice.

Would recommend both starters and enjoyed the mains however the burger bun was long life & tasted very ‘sweet’. That would be my only negative from our meal & only reason I wouldn’t reorder the burger.
Portion sizes are huge with plenty of ‘fake meat’.

In the car drive up Upper Cwmbran Road turning right on the bend with Thornhill Road so you continue on Upper Cwmbran Road and the pub is on the right. Turn sharp right to get into the carpark driving literally past the pub.

The inside space has plenty of tables and chairs. The menu is large with something to suit everyone.
My bourguignon, mash and peas was a huge serving, and delicious. The tofu ramen looked fab and was also tasty.

My friends and I just couldn't get over how amazing it was, just hidden away. What a gem. Service was excellent and so friendly. Food was delicious and they are dog friendly. I'm considering moving just to be closer.
