Been meaning to get here for a couple years now, as I'd heard so much about it. There aren't many vegan pubs around.
Read moreWasn't disappointed but wasn't blown away, either. Food was good, not amazing. It gets five stars regardless, as it fully deserves them for the concept, friendly service and menu alone. The restaurant really started to fill up as we left, so advance booking would seem like a good idea. If you're vegan and live within a 100 mile radius, you have to pay at least one visit.

Awesome vegan pub - Edit
Definitely worth going out of our way for. Food was incredible. I wish we could have had more! Very filling meals, we had the bread bowl with Mac n cheese and buffalo wings. The wings were excellent. We also got the burger which was really good. A must visit.

Wonderful pub - for vegan & non vegans! - Edit
Fantastic pub with great food, for vegan & non-vegans alike!
Read moreWe’ve now been three times and are planning our next trip in the New Year.
Highly recommend!
Dogs more than welcome. 🐾
Update: we went back in August 2024 and it’s still great with so much choice! ✨
Update: Xmas dinner 2024 - fantastic as always. 🎄 the staff were exceptional.
Update: Veganuary 2025 - 10/10 🌱🤍
Updated: March 2025 - had to go back for the chocolate orange cake and the lemon chik’n wings - delicious!
The tofysh & chips is great but very filling! 🐟
Update: June ‘25 - we had the share platter. A LOT of food for two people but very tasty 😋
Update: July ‘25 - we had the Chinese sharing plate and it was great. 😍 we ordered a side of chilly beef (we think they should swap the ribs on the platter for the chilli beef for sure! ☺️)
Update: August ‘25 - We had the chippy-tea. Very tasty! Also had the biscoff cheesecake which was nice but I prefer the Jaffa cake. 🍊
Update: December ‘25 - annual Christmas dinner 😍
Chik’n wings were amazing, tofu tenders were okay, filet was incredible, borek was okay, tiramisu was delicious, baklava was okay. 🎄
Update: Veganuary ‘26 - great time as always. Can’t fault the staff, always so nice and so dog friendly. The wings are finally spicy 😍👏🏻
Update: Sept ‘26 - returned for my 5 year veganiversary. We had the Chinese sharing platter and mac & cheeze bowl. Wouldn’t have the bowl again (although nice) but the Chinese shared was incredible. 👏🏻

Absolute Empfehlung – Perfektes Essen & super hundefreundlich! - Edit

Great food, service varies - Edit
We went to the Queens three days in a row and everything we tried tasted fantastic! Mains and sides as well as all the delicious cakes!
Read morePrices were also fair and so were the size of the plates (only the lasagna could have been a bit more, but according to our experience that's the case in every restaurant when you order lasagna or pasta dishes).
On two out of the three days the service was marvellous, helpful, just amazing! There was just one day on which the waitress might have had a bad day, we didn't really feel welcomed then (e.g. had asked for the dessert menu which in the end we borrowed from the neighbouring table after waiting too long, then weren't offered the usual cream/custard/ice cream with the cake which we had ordered takeaway as we didn't want to wait any longer,...). But as mentioned, that was just on one evening out of three and the rest of our experience really made up for this
Pros: Delicious authentic food, Fair prices, Best cakes ever
Cons: Service on one day out of three

Everything I want from a pub 🌱🍻💚 - Edit
Absolutely LOVED The Queen Inn!! 🥰 This is honestly everything I love and expect from a pub: cosy, welcoming, relaxed, dog-friendly… AND 100% VEGAN 🌱❤️
Read moreIt feels like a proper traditional pub, except you can look at the whole menu without having to check every ingredient or hunt for the one vegan option 🙌🏻 Just sit down, grab a drink and choose WHATEVER YOU WANT. Heaven.
The food was delicious, generous and exactly the kind of comforting pub food I was hoping for 😍And of course, the fact that the whole place is vegan makes it even more special.
And the staff… genuinely some of the kindest and warmest people we’ve ever met, they made us feel so welcome from the second we walked in! 🥹💚
Also, our dogs were treated like absolute royalty 👑🐶They even have their very own doggy menu!! Honestly, could this place be any more perfect?! 🥹🌱✨
THIS is what pubs should be like!! 🥹🌱🍻
Please never change🫶🏻
Pros: The food is just perfection 🤤✨, The staff is amazing 🫶🏻, Dog very very friendly 🥹

Delicious meal in a cosy pub! - Edit
The Queen Inn has been on our list since they went vegan over four years ago so we were very excited to come and visit!
Read moreWe visited twice - for dinner on Saturday and then roast on Sunday.
The Queen Inn itself is a nice old-fashioned pub with cosy indoor areas, lots of outdoor seating, parking and a stream with ducks running outside.
On our first visit on Saturday, we went for a selection of small plates - bang bang cauliflower, buffalo ch*cken wings and creamy garlic mushrooms.
The cauliflower was delicious with lots of flavour. The chick*n wings were excellent with a crispy coating, lots of flavour and meaty texture. I also really enjoyed the creamy garlic mushrooms which came with delicious bread and lots of sauce.
For mains we got Crispy chilli b*ef and Ch*cken b*con Mac & ch*ese stuffed garlic bread bowl. The crispy beef was delicious with lots of flavour and delicious soft salt and pepper chips. The Mac & ch*ese bowl was also really good! It had a delicious creamy, cheesy flavour and the bread was lovely and soft. It was also a huge portion!
We also got a portion of Chinese curry sauce which was a very generous portion and was also delicious. We used it for dipping the bread that came with the mac & ch*ese and it was great!
We also had a slice of vanilla cheesecake to take away which had a delicious flavour and light texture.
On Sunday, we went back for the roast and for starters I got the Spiced l*mb, hummus, and pita bread. It was really tasty and I was particularly impressed with the hummus. My wife got the Potted s*lmon with crostini and said it was one of the best Salmon substitutes she’s ever had!
For the roasts themselves, we got the Ch*cken en croute and Cauliflower ch*ese tart. Both were very tasty! I have had better roasts but I still thought they were really good and I really enjoyed them. I was particularly impressed with the Yorkshire pudding which was excellent.
For dessert, we got a slice of lemon cheesecake, and lemon meringue pie. Both were delicious! The Lemon cheesecake had a lovely strong lemon flavour and was the same light texture as the vanilla one. The lemon meringue pie also had a nice strong lemon flavour and had a lovely marshmallow-like texture which I really enjoyed!
My wife went back a week later and had Frickles, Pulled BBQ Shiitake Mac & ch*ese stuffed garlic bread bowl and Southern gravy which she also loved!

Wowzer. Absolutely bloody delicious. Gorgeous, chill, cosy, comfy, traditional style pub. The environment, surroundings, staff and food were just totally top level. The food was so fab that we ordered extra meals to take away. Much enjoyed chatting with other customers, locals, the staff and resident cute Kitty, Geri, everyone should come here, vegans/veggies/carnivores alike. Just beautiful 💚

So disappointing - Edit
I’ve been seeing posts about this pub all over social media, how it’s some revolutionary concept to have an all vegan pub, but I’ve been to all vegan pubs as long ad 10 years ago in London, maybe it was what I ordered but all the food was shop bought vegan meat, and it was terribly prepped, the juicy marble stake was cooked with no salt whatsoever so it tasted bland and the chips were soaked in oil, the peas were raw and the sausages were just quorn sausages, I can’t believe they charge £30 for a meal that has come from the tescos 3 for 2 clubcard deal
Read morePros: All vegan, Quiet
Cons: Store bought food, Badly prepared

Sorry you were disappointed but I can assure you we don’t sell quorn sausages or buy products from Tesco 2-1 ! Our main meal prices range approximately from £14- 18 per person which is average !

Finally got to The Queen Inn and it was AMAZING! Lovely like-minded people and relaxed atmosphere. Really positive vibes! We took a non vegan friend who absolutely loved the food! Large easy car park. Beautiful valleys surrounding the pub with a few medium- to challenging hikes. The ducks that live there were a hoot too!

The Queen - Edit
We came down from Wolverhampton to try The Queen (and for a bit of walking) and it was terrific! Really great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly welcoming team. I especially love that it's a traditional pub and so dog friendly (we have a 7 month old puppy who isn't quite pub trained so it was a relief to be in a place that wasn't bothered by his occasional shouting!)

A Vegan Pilgrimage - Edit
After years of following The Queen Inn we made the trip, and it did not disappoint! Amazing food, drinks, and hospitality. We upgraded The Queen sharer to a lions mane steak, which was an absolute highlight! Followed by the best biscoff cheesecake. Afterwards we had delightful conversations with the incredible owners, and tried every amazing selection on offer of the vegan cream liqueur. Will be visiting again, thank you for an unforgettable experience!
