Beautiful food - Edit
I recently went vegan and my mum wanted to try with me. I wanted to find a nice local restaurant and this one popped up. Myself, my mum and my dad all went there to give it a try, and all of the food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. All food & drinks are vegan on this menu. Can’t recommend it enough!

Lovely vegan restaurant in Leigh - Edit
First time here, wanted to try since becoming vegan and as it was our wedding anniversary what a better time.
Read moreFirst impression lovely clean nice decor 👍🏻 they had a singer Darren Jones who was very good. It was nice a busy most of the tables were taken all good.
But disappointed on beer selection as the acorn has local beer but the don’t sell in this restaurant?? May need to look into that ?
We had olives and garlic bread while we had a drink ( fursty ferret ) and a coffee
Followed by the mezze and cauliflower poppers very nice indeed then the Katsu curry and loaded hot dog, the picture looks really good with all nice micro leaves on the dog but the chef who done that must of been off as presentation wasn’t great but it did taste good it’s a great place for burgers and the loaded dog but the mains is a bit boring, they do a lunch time menu that also looks really good but that finishes at 5pm then for dessert we shared the chocolate cake with ice cream this was heavenly 👍🏻 we had two waitresses one of them was very good flying around the other she was ok but just was so annoying watching her on her phone texting constantly all the time we were there ( your there to work )? Shame we did not see any management walking round and seeing the customers but thee could be a reason for this ?
Maybe they will comment on this post ?
But over all very nice experience and will be back and praps next time I will visit their sister restaurant the acorn ?
Pros: Great atmosphere , Good food , Outside sitting
Cons: Small menu

Loved this restaurant. We had brunch here - chickpea omelette was delicious although the sauce was hot (Not stated on menu) and the 'big one' went down very well too.

Never disappoints - Edit
I’ve visited the Oaktree on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. I’ve taken a few sceptical Omni friends along and all have been wowed by the food here. The menu is varied and has familiar favourites such as Mac and ‘cheese’, Carbonara and Seitan ribs. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and staff are so helpful and friendly. The Oaktree sets the bar extremely high!

Best food ever - Edit
Visited Leigh on sea and Southend for a random daytrip. We knew about The Oaktree and had planned to visit for lunch. The menu was extensive so it was hard to choose. We ordered the tofu for starters and then the country pie with peas and potatoes, the raw pad Thai, and some chips. O. My. Goodness. When the food arrived, everything tasted so delicious, the dishes were relatively simple sounding but the flavour and the way everything was cooked was amazing, we were both blown away by how good everything tasted. The quality was amazing and the portions were good sizes. Despite being incredibly full by the time we’d finished, we still had to try desert and had the caramel, apple and pecan crunch which was also delicious. The service was really good too, super friendly. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, we visited from London and would go again just to go to the oaktree again!

Improving but very average - Edit
Menu has improved and sounds appetising. Went as group of 5 mixed age and tastes, but unfortunately all found it ‘Very Average’ especially in comparison to other cafes and restaurants visited... much happier to cook at home. Not a place to eat if you are a ‘proper’ foodie! This said a lot of people seem to enjoy the food here...
Read morePros: Provides all vegan options, Some healthier options, Nice garden area
Cons: On the expensive side, Food was average, potential there but needs extra, Some basic restaurant standards needed improving.

Wonderful menu, delicious food - Edit
Really great menu, with breakfasts (served till 12 noon), light bites, starters, mains, desserts, coffees and alcohol, including a list of vegan wines, beers and spirits. Sandwiches, big salads, soups, burgers (£10, and you can add extra toppings), sweet potato fries, mac ‘n’ cheese, satay dippers and more. They have vegan mayo!
Read moreOn my first visit I had a decaf-almond-latte and the Mushroom Garlic Burger on a ciabatta bun (there’s an optional GF bun), all burgers served with French fries and mixed-greens salad. Very satisfying. Easy-listening music in the background, pleasant service from server wearing a name tag – a nice touch. On my second visit – roses on the tables! – I had a creamy creamy butternut squash—chestnut—asparagus lasagne, served with two slices of garlic ciabatta and a green salad. I was there before noon, and the service was fast.
Other mains (£10-11) include roast vegetable tart, pesto and asparagus gnocchi in cheese sauce, Thai curry, oriental stir-fry and “fiery” sweet potato—bean chilli. All the desserts (£5-7) look enticing, and I chose the warm caramel-apple-pecan crumble which came with two scoops of vegan vanilla ice cream and was superb. (One scoop would be plenty.) I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s not completely vegan, but there are a great many vegan options.
The owners also operate Acorn Deli & Café near Old Leigh.
Pros: delicious food and great menu items, pleasant service, most items are vegan

Absolutely loved this place. First time there and four of us had starter main and dessert each and every dish was fantastic, really flavorsome and delicious. The service was also first class and it was great discussing vegan food with our waitress who was very nice and informative. Would eat here every night if we could!!

Excellent Quality, Choice & Atmosphere - Edit
Found this gem of a restaurant. Plenty of choice and the food is delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff. Prices reasonable - fantastic atmosphere. Clean, tidy high class feel. Went with my children but could be a ideal romantic destination. Small / 15 tables? but cosy. Felt very relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Recently had a fancy make-over. - Edit
The Oaktree Market, which previously had a deli-counter, has just had a very sophisticated renovation. It now has a purely ala-carte set up, with live acoustic music in the evenings.
Read moreThey provide vegan and vegetarian options. There is halloumi on the menu (which is the only thing I miss, in my 'vegan - re-birth', but daren't ever indulge in.)
The place has a lovely ambience - just perfect for sharing a really refreshing bottle of vegan prosecco and a vegan pizza with actual melting vegan mozzarella, and nattering the evening away with your mates.
Pros: Fancy redo , Melting vegan mozzarella , Great vegan wine and beer options.
Cons: Pricey - but all vegan venues appear to be.
