Several vegan options, knowledgable staff - Edit
Charming village pub with a local vibe. We popped in for lunch on our way from Ilfracombe to Exeter.
Read moreFood was nice but the service was 10/10.
There is a separate vegan menu and some gluten free options. Owner and staff were super friendly and helpful - they clearly understood which items were vegan/gf.
We also said hello to the two beautiful resident golden retrievers.
Overall a lovely visit - would recommend.

Lovely food and vegan menu - Edit
Plenty of vegan options and knowledgeable staff. I had the aubergine and walnut option with the Blueberry Cobbler for pudding. Nice friendly pub.

A little diamond in Devon - Edit
We loved having so much choice on the separate vegan menu! It was hard to choose, but we went with the BBQ lentil burger with chips and the bean chilli with rice and a side of garlic bread.

The staff were friendly and informative. They were happy to check with the chef.
The bar is dog and family friendly.
We had about a 20 or 30 minute wait for food, which we didn't mind at all.
In fact we enjoyed our visit so much we have reserved a table for Thursday's curry night when all the veggie curries are vegan! We a very much looking forward to our return visit.
We would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.
