A sizable vegan menu. Impressive. - Edit
I had lunch here today with a client. He’s not vegan, but he jumped in with both feet and ordered what I ordered. I got the breakfast plate, which was vegan scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and a side of pancakes. We also got a side of sausage patties. It was actually very good, with the exception of the pancakes. I felt like they were just not very good. My client agreed that the pancakes were, “a bit off.”

That is A LOT of vegan egg. Thanks for the photo and pancake update. Will avoid those puppies in the future.

Plethora of options - Edit
Forgot to take a picture. And I’m full. So full. The breakfast burrito was great. Asked for crema on the side based on a review tip. Made it edible by hand, for the most part.
Read moreVegan menu huge and vegan options are definitely a first class citizen. Refreshing. Especially for a diner vibe.
Close to my office, I’ll be back to work thru a few more menu items! Tho a bit pricy.
Pros: Options!, Atmosphere!, Portions!
Cons: Price! (Tho you get a lot for it), Diner coffee. #coffeesnob

Great food, more options - Edit
I've reviewed this place before, but just wanted to update it. Food is awesome, as always, and the new menu basically doubles the vegan options. Really love the vegan breakfast burrito. I get the chipotle crema on the side because it's normally on top, and makes it messy to eat

Large vegan menu with lowkey diner atmosphere - Edit
This place is great. We go here a lot. Traditional diner vegan breakfast is hard to find. There is a latin spin which just makes the food even better. We've enjoyed everything we've had including the burrito, the Mexican skillet, the santa fe pizza, chilaquiles, and pancakes.

How vegan breakfast is done. - Edit
Huge menu. Staff asked if I was vegan before seating me to make sure I got the right menu. I’m a big dude and most people are surprised to find out I’m vegan, so this really made my day.
Read moreGot the breakfast burrito. It was excellent. Smothered in the best vegan crema I’ve ever tasted. I’ll ask for extra next time. I tried to get the recipe, but they were very secretive.
Staff were super friendly.
Pros: Huge menu, Great staff
Cons: +$2 to add vegan cheese to the breakfast sandwich

This place has one of the best vegan menus for a non vegan restaurant! You can tell they put a lot of time and consideration into this menu. The food and service was absolutely amazing! I will 1000000% be back!

So many options - Edit
As soon as you walk in you are asked if you want a Gluten Free, Vegan or regular menu and all three are clearly displayed at the register. Menu has two full pages of all vegan items. My skillet was delicious and the family raved about their vegan dishes. Highly recommend.

So many vegan options - Edit
This place has as many or more vegan options than a vegan restaurant. We just ate there and really enjoyed our food. We had French toast, scrambled just egg, breakfast sausage and the Mexican burrito (egg, chorizo and aioli). Definitely worth visiting.

Amazing place - Edit
Both the food and the service are amazing. The vegan menu doesn’t feel like an afterthought. Beware, portion size is pretty big, I ordered the garden scramble, ate until my stomach hurt, and still had quite some food left. Sad I cannot give it 5 stars.

Deserves 5 Stars - Edit
This is a good example of my gripe with Happy Cow. I think this hole in the wall diner in the suburbs of Illinois deserves 5 stars for putting substantial vegan options on their menu that, dare I say, taste better to me than food I've had at fully vegan establishments. I used to go to diners as a kid with my parents and got pancakes with maple syrup, hashbrowns, and eggs. That's exactly what I had at Lucky Penny. Nothing weird or flavorless or colored with beets or whatever. Just hearty, nostalgic food. Not that beet coloring is a bad thing, but I want to feel normal sometimes. Is that ok? Thanks, Lucky Penny!

Really homey feel the minute you enter! Super friendly staff as well. I got the vegan chilaquiles with a side of vegan sour cream, as well as the vegan French toast. The chilaquiles has SO much flavor, and was served with vegan egg on the side. Everything was super super delicious!

An entire Vegan Menu - Edit
This restaurant has some thing for everybody. Since the last time I came here, they have a vegan menu with a number of options. There’s plenty of seating, plenty of parking, and affordable prices. A great place to grab breakfast or lunch in Naperville.

So happy I found this place! - Edit
I wish I could give this place five stars, but I just learned that that rating is reserved for exclusively vegan restaurants. Fine.
Read moreThis place has a dedicated vegan menu with an assortment of Just Egg options. This was one of the best savory vegan breakfasts I've ever had!
I'm actually happy that this place isn't exclusively vegan because I know a lot of non vegans, and it's often quite difficult to find a restaurant that they are also happy with (especiallyin the suburbs). But people looking for traditional breakfast will also love this place. This will definitely be my family's new breakfast spot!
Pros: Lot's of Vegan options , Vegan milk/ creamer
Cons: No sweet vegan breakfasts

Just Eggtraordinary - Edit
One of the only brunch places in Naperville that has a dedicated vegan menu instead of just oatmeal.
Read moreI got the vegan breakfast burrito. The size of the burrito was humongous, yielding two additional meals at home. Their hash browns were delicious as well. Service wise, my coffee cup was never empty. Price wise, this was way cheaper than what I would pay for vegan brunch in Vegas. Definitely will come back here the next time I am in town.
Pros: Dedicated vegan menu, Delicious flavors , Great service
Cons: Tricky to find the restaurant
