Good range of options - Edit
Went here every day we were on holiday. Lots of choice. Had the vegan breakfast, afternoon tea with their famous flotted cream, some cake and tried their feta ciabatta and vegan black pudding terrine from the specials menu. All tasty. Great flat white coffee too. Feels like they have put a lot of effort in to trying to make a menu with interesting choices. Cake choices change from day to day. One day had one option, the next had several.

Amazing vegan cream tea! - Edit
Visited March ‘23 – based on a recommendation we saw online – to try the vegan cream tea and have some lunch (we booked in advance). The Greenwood Tree has become known for its vg ‘Flotted’ cream, which they also sell separately. I thought it was delicious. It has a looser consistency than typical clotted cream, but has that perfect, almost savoury taste which pairs well with the sweetness of the jam. The scone was perfect. I also had a vg mozzarella pesto toasted sandwich which was delicious and gooey. Highly recommend a visit here! ☺️

A must-visit - Edit
Love it here so much. On our first visit, the staff even gave us a vegan scone with clotted cream to try for free because they wanted to make sure they had the recipe just right (needless to say, it was amazing). We’ve enjoyed everything we’ve eaten here but the highlight for me was the dark chocolate and raspberry scone. Would be five stars if they didn’t serve dead animals 😄

Really good vegan options - Edit
For a cafe catering for a variety of diets the Greenwood Tree has really thought about its vegan menu. So often places that are not fully vegan provide plant based food as a bit of an after thought - but not here.
Read moreWe had Dirty Fries (3 bean chilli and cheeze on top) delicious! Then for pud flavoured scones (orange choc and mincemeat ) with their own vegan clotted cream. The cream is fabulous!
Will be going back soon….. #Veganuary

I've eaten here a few times and have tried the Vegan Dirty Fries, BBQ Jackfruit Burger and Vegan Chocolate Orange Scone with "flotted" cream, all of which were delicious and I highly recommend! A vast array of sweet and savoury Vegan options, as well as Vegan milkshakes and other drinks. Staff are also very friendly!

Great vegan options - Edit
We went twice in two days! First for breakfast, which was good and came from its own vegan menu. Then we went back for the vegan cream tea, which was epic! It comes with its own vegan clotted cream, which is really delicious. They also had a range of vegan cakes and vegan specials. They are also dog friendly and not far from the village car park. They were warm and friendly.

What an absolute gem of a cafe, a separate vegan menu is available with a great selection but the cream tea is outstanding. Scones jam and clotted cream all vegan and all brilliant quality.

Good brekkie options - Edit
Best vegan brekkie in Lyndhurst. Separate vegan menu and great brekkie selection - all the usual fry up suspects, plus sweetcorn fritters, pancakes etc.

Great selection, entire separate vegan menu and also do a variety of vegan cakes and scones and a vegan cream tea option! I had the vegan cheese, sundried tomato and pesto toastie and a special scone which was banana, chocolate and almond 😋 Even returned the next day for a vegan cheese scone and a cuppa!

Feedback post visit - Edit
We visited this cafe last week and were delighted to find not only vegan options but a vegan menu...including pancakes, vegan breakfast and other options mentioned. Plus there was a takeaway cream tea...with spread and jam. The service was fantastic and venue lovely. I'd love them to give them 5 stars but can only give 4 as they offer meat options too. Well done to them 👏 💥💥💥💥💥

This place is OK - Edit
We had the baked potato with chili and it was OK. They have a separate vegan menu which is cool. There's not much else in town unfortunately but the food here is definitely not bad. We will most likely eat here again because we tried The Swan Inn the second time round and that place is barely edible! If only the Indian restaurants would open for lunch that's where we would eat every time we're in Lyndhurst. Seems silly that they don't open given that it's a tourist high street and busiest during the day.
