Fish & chips

Wonderful place next to the seaside with a few delicious options. Service and prices were excellent. Highly recommend and not often you get a chippy that can cater so well to vegans.

Vegan fish and chips

The fish and chips and mushy peas were absolutely heaven!!

Pros: Delicious fish, Very very friendly and helpful

Cons: Also make the homemade tartare sauce vegan, Make the vegan options more visible

We are not 100% vegan so also had the homemade tartare sauce at The Front Fish and Chips in Newbiggin-by-the-sea

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one

Not often you find good vegan options at a seaside chippy, but this has plenty. Not sure what the vegan fish was made from, didn’t seem to be tofu or blossom, but it was great.

Good vegan selection for a small seaside town

For a small town there are a few good options for vegans as well as a vegan fish and chip special.
The chips are good but not the best I’ve ever had (this is gonna be down to personal preference).
Generous portions.

Pros: Great customer service, Eat-in option, Generous portions

Cons: No vegan dessert as far as I could tell

Vegan fish and chips

Vegan fish was nice. It wasn’t banana blossom or tofu - a faux meat alternative used. Great price. £7 for generous vegan fish and chips.

Lovely fish and chips

Staying in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea so I was delighted to find this little gem right on the doorstep. Options clearly marked on menu and great prices too.

Front of the queue.

The refreshing thing about this place is the prices. They have a separate vegan menu (which hadn’t changed from an earlier review) which was decent. I had the fish and chips while toh had the sausage and chips,I also got a portion of mushy peas all for the grand total of £12.20. Everything was tasty, the staff were very friendly, and the service was quick. Would definitely come back.

Pros: Food was well priced. , Clearly marked vegan options. , Friendly staff.

Cons: None.

Excellent food, staff, cleanliness

Warm welcome and very clean. The vegan options were clearly written up on the blackboard. We were very excited to have several options and went for fish and chips and sausages and chips, battered. We sat in because the heavens opened just as we ordered, and the lovely smiling lady took excellent care of us. The food was absolutely delicious, and really fresh. Would highly recommend, and will definitely return ourselves.

Pros: Friendly, professional staff., Easy to see what the vegan options are., Very clean and welcoming.

Vegan Fish, Sausages, Spring Rolls Chicken Strips & Chips

It was great to see the vegan options listed on the wall & we checked they were cooked separately. The staff were very friendly & checked everything was good. The food was great & nicely priced. They could do with some nice herbal teas but they gave us free cups of hot water & we used our own bags. Hopefully we will see more vegan options at Newbiggen By The Sea 😋

Lovely fish and chip shop

The staff are lovely and friendly. Food is reasonably priced. Premises are modern and clean. Great to see some vegan options in a fish and chip shop. Love the vegan fish.
