Spice with every sip

Our morning stop on our walks while we were visiting. Lattes & chai’s were the drinks of choice. Many options to choose from. If you like a chai that packs a punch in spice, then you’ll enjoy these. Loved all the plants, such a cute, cozy & comfortable space to wait in.

I visit every time

Love free bird- both locations. I always get a (locally made) bagel with vegan cream cheese. They also have baked goods that are vegan. They offer multiple milk alternatives for tea and coffee drinks. And they have awesome smoothies and açaí bowls. Definitely worth a stop on your way in!

Pros: Many vegan options, good for breakfast

Cons: Only one person working at a time, so be patient

Awesome

Cute, tiny, and awesomely shabby place. Immediately greeted by two friendly employees who were more than happy to accommodate vegan needs. I got the fruity power bowl and my husband got the hemp based power bowl. We both loved ours, and the drinks were delicious too! Will definitely go next time we are visiting Tahoe.

Pros: Customer Service, Food Quality, Fair Price

Best smoothie place in the world

I just love the Smoothies at Freebird. I've visited every time I go to Lake Tahoe. This last time that I went I was very hungry and on vacation and saw some very delicious looking pastries and a basket for sale.

I told the person behind the counter that I was vegan but then I was going to make an exception because the pastries looked too good.

She actually stopped me from purchasing the item and told me she would make me something vegan. She then made me a delicious treat by hand from scratch. She gave it to me without charge. I
found it on the menu later and it cost $2.50.

They have love for vegans here and delicious great healthy smoothies.

great little coffee shop

The best coffee I've had in ages!!! The pot pies were amazing too, everything was so delicious and we were in and out of there in no time. Very cute atmosphere and friendly staff. Smelled like homemade chai when we walked in, and they use all organic dairy for the coffee drinks. We will be back for sure!

Pros: amazing coffee, organic, quick and easy
