Good vegan options - Edit
Beautiful old pub, with a good vegan selection, a shame they no longer did the vegan fish and chips. I had a pepper with pesto potatos which was really amazing, but I would say it was definitely a bit lesser than the meat counterparts (I was still quite hungry afterwards). Shame there was g a vegetarian special. Amazing service

Had good vegan fish and chips but no longer serving it - Edit
Visited summer 2023 and had the fish and chips, but revisited December 2023 and it's no longer on menu and the vegan main is a falafel burger.....

Atmosphere Abounds - Edit
Simple but super tasty vegan fare, for me in the shape of vegan fish and chips. Service was knowledgeable and superb and the atmosphere is this 400 year old establishment is second to none. Also, dogs are welcome 🥳

Good vegan fish and chips - Edit
Beautiful countryside pub with vegan fish and chips made with banana blossom. But it's the only option aside from a mushroom burger (I believe).
Read moreIt would be great if they did more vegan options as they're so easy - e.g. Beyond burger or VFC burger.
But beautiful pub and tasty fish and chips if that's what you fancy!
Pros: Tasty vegan fish and chips, Beautiful pub and views
Cons: Only one option

Best Vegan Fish &Chips - Edit
This country pub is a delight. Plenty of tables and space. Lovely open fire. Vegan and vegetarian options. Big car park. Friendly staff. Their vegan fish and chips is the best we've ever had. Light batter, not greasy, with fresh peas and lovely chips. Very impressed .

Amazing vegan fish and chips - Edit
The vegan fish and chips, to our surprise, was deep fried banana blossom! We were fully expecting Tofish, but this was so much better. Big portion, vegan tartare sauce and chips.
Read moreWe had the vegan lemon drizzle cake with sorbet, which was also great.
The staff were very open minded about having more vegan options, which for a pub named after a famous fox hunt and in a conservative farming area, is a big deal.
Pros: Tasty food, Open minded staff , Gorgeous pub
