Very delicious meals, on the higher price end but the food and dessert is fantastic. Highly recommend the smokey mushrooms and matcha dessert! The restaurant is lowlit and modern with nice alcohol choices.

We had the cauliflower and a mushroom pizza and a tasting plate. What fantastic flavours! Our lovely waitperson was so helpful too. Amazing coffee and my hubby is picky with his coffee as he is a barista!! Highly recommend.

Amazing vegan / veg options, just be sure to specify vegan! Food was amazing!! We had the beer battered cauliflower & Vegan mushroom pizza. The sourdough bases are really nice and didn’t upset my stomach (like a lot of gluten does). It was super busy but the service great. Definitely recommend.

The Fermentist is the only bar in Christchurch with all vege food options. Not everything is vegan, and the vegan options aren’t marked out specifically, which is annoying, but it appears most options can be made vegan. I had the lunch special on my last visit - margarita pizza with vegan cheese and fries (came with the best seasoning). The first pizza came out with cow cheese on it, but the kitchen quickly remade me a vegan one. Good cider (if you like dry ones) on tap.

I love this place. Their ciders and kombucha are delicious and staff are super helpful and lovely. It's very quiet but the foods always been great!

The food is absolutely delicious. We had the Kim chi, veg chorizo pizza and it’s one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Wish I could try them all. Beers are great too.

Just want to rave about The Fermentist, which is where we went for dinner last night. I had the Kimchi, vege chorizo and herb aioli pizza with vegan mozzarella ($24), while my gf had the Banh Mi crispy tofu, paté, fermented carrot, sriracha aioli and fries ($25). The pizza was awesome, and the vegan chorizo was amazing! As for the Banh Mi, the crispy tofu tasted a bit like fish (in a very good way!) – we couldn’t work out if it was the batter or the texture, which was ‘fluffy’, but it tasted amazing, didn’t know tofu could taste like that!

Had delicious starter and scrumptious fresh pasta for main. Almost everything was vegan although menu isn't extensive. Even a vegan dessert. All the beers are vegan and ours was also very good. Would recommend!!!

I had a breakfast on Sunday morning, and it was delicious. Most of the things can be made vegan if you ask. They are really kind and have really good range of holebrewed beer (yeah I hade beer at breaky... Don't judge me)

Amazing micro brewery come vegatarian eatery - high standard finish interior. Didn't know what to expect as we are tea total and vegan with allergies, but the staff were great and couldn't have been more helpful. It had great atmosphere and you know its good when the toilets are first class. We were not disappointed. The food was incredible and lots of vegan options which could be catered to avoid my allergies of nut, soya and coconut. Was really impressed. So cant wait to go back and try something else next time.
