Stopped doing vegan fish

Asked for 3 vegan fish and chips at the takeaway section. The guy serving said "er I don't think we do that, do you want a veggie burger"? He looked a bit clueless.
I don't know if he needed training as it was on their website and cafe menu. Maybe he was a summer worker. Just went to the pasty shop down the road and bought 3 trad vegan pasties instead.

* update. We went in the restaurant the following day, no vegan fish, so just had chips and peas. Look at my pic, just 2 miniture side dishes, like what? Disappointed 🙁 members of the National Federation of Fish Fryers. Wouldn't recommend.

Lovely Vegan Fish and Chips

It was so yummy and cooked fresh. Vegan fish was very tasty.

NO FISH

Tried twice but fish unavailable on both occasions so cannot rate it. Chips dry and chewy.

Pros: They (theoretically) sell vegan fish., Opening hours.

Cons: Chips not the best. , Fish unavailable.

Hidden gem

Only a few vegan mains but they’re all great. The vegan fish was especially good, I’ve tried a few and this was by far the most realistic. The burger is closer to chicken than beef which made a nice change.

The staff were super friendly and despite one of my order’s items being unavailable, I was offered a more expensive alternative for no additional charge.

My only complain is that not all vegan options are labelled as such, however the staff are happy to clarify.

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, Dog friendly

Cons: Menu would benefit from better labelling, Would have expected vegan sausages

Vegan fish and chips!

We weren’t expecting to get anything vegan but chips and mushy peas but were pleasantly surprised to find vegan fish and chips on the menu (£9 approx).
Two large breadcrumbed fillets (pre-made), lots of chips and mushy peas…delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was quick and drinks menu is large. Really made our visit to Ilfracombe even better.

Pros: Vegan fish and chips option
