Decent pub grub

We were staying in the area for Aug bank holiday weekend and didn't think to book anywhere for dinner until late afternoon, and everywhere we tried was fully booked. I gave the cross keys a call to check vegan options, and I was told they had a curry. From the outside, it doesn't look much, but it actually was ok inside. The football was on and a bit later it was karaoke, the pub it was quite busy. I had the sweet potato soup to start, which was really good and sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry (luckily, I like sweet potato) for main, which was also decent. We actually ended up going back there on the Mon night after trying the pub local to our accommodation, which didn'thave anything vegan on their menu. There was no football on, and it was much quieter. I had the soup again (only vegan starter on the menu) and the movin mountains burger. They also had a vegan mushroom risotto on the mains. None of the deserts were listed as vegan.

Pros: Lovely soup starter, Decent vegan main options, Friendly staff

Cons: No vegan desserts
