No vegan cakes during quiet months 😥 - Edit
Popped in today to find a much smaller collection of cakes than normal - which is to be expected during the off-peak months. But, sadly, non of the dozen or so cake and biscuit options were vegan 😞 It's a shame they couldn't keep one or two options vegan, even within their reduced seasonal offering. Same hot food options available for vegan customers (soup, bean chilli thing). #Veganuary

Shows they're not interested in catering to vegans sadly

Lovely wee cafe in a beautiful setting - Edit
Usually several vegan options on the menu, and a couple of good vegan cake options too, plant milk and butter available also. Good spot for lunches, or just for tea and cake while visiting. Staff always lovely and well-versed in their vegan offerings. I regularly cycle out from Penrith just for the cakes!

Nice Lunch - Edit
Lovely location for a cafe with a chilled atmosphere. The coffee was awesome with Oat, almond and soya milk on offer. Limited vegan options, I had the bean stew which was delicious.

Several vegan options in a rural location - Edit
Cafe 4 Eden offers several savoury vegan options which I was delighted to discover on a recent walk to Brougham Hall. The cafe is in a beautiful location, within the grounds of the Hall (free to enter), with extensive seating outside. I had the sausage ciabatta which was simple but delicious. They offer a range of cakes although none vegan at the time of visiting which was a shame. Nb at the time of visiting, they had strict Covid protocols in place (track & trace, one-way system, restricted access inside, outside seating only + sanitisation) which was impressive and appreciated. Staff were great and very friendly and welcoming.

Cons: serve meat and dairy, no vegan cakes on offer at time of visit, outside seating will become an issue in the winter
