Long established vegetarian restaurant previously in Wisconsin Dells in a converted old cheese factory (hence its name) then moved here/re-opened in 2013 with an exclusively vegan, non-gmo menu. Offers a variety of savory dishes as well as coffee, cakes, and desserts. Open Wed-Thu 11:30am-2:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:30am-7:00pm, Sun 11:30am-3:00pm. Closed Mon-Tue.

Great vegan option in the middle of cheese land - Edit
Ate here in the summer of 2018 and they had great pancakes! The server was friendly and welcoming. Would go back again if I'm out that way.

Read moreTheir food is so good that my wife & I actually decided to have our post-wedding dinner here with our non-Vegan parents. They all loved it and said they would come back again.
Their desserts are ridiculously good as well.
Also, their staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and just add to the charm and ambience of this place.
Highly recommend!

Who knew that Baraboo, WI has incredible vegan food?! This place is the BEST! Ten of us stopped in after a nearby event and everything was excellent. Everything was so tasty and the service was fantastic. I wish I could back this place up and take it home.

I was driving through the area via I-90/94, and I found this place on Happy Cow. I was reluctant to veer from the interstate too much, but I took the risk. Man, am I glad I did. The food was delicious (I had the tortada and a cookie), the portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, and the servers were all very friendly. I will definitely be stopping by my next time through the area.

My first full vegan menu - Edit
Yum! My husband isn’t vegan and we always find it challenging eating out together. We both loved our food! I had the portabella sandwich (gf) & chips & salsa. Also the Italian caffe float. All delicious! Everything sounded so good, it was hard to choose. Will definitely go back!

A Dells Trip Must - Edit
Service is quick and incredibly friendly. The menu has a good range of ambition while still providing simpler pleasures. It's just good food done right. My experience sets The Cheeze Factory towards the top for vegan restaurants in the state. If you're heading to/from the dells, definitely give this place your time and money.

Two of us are vegan, one is a vegetarian, so we were duty bound to try as many things on the menu as possible. It Was All Great. Not a subpar item in the bunch. We had an appetizer, entrees, drinks, and dessert. Hearty portions, flavorful, lip-smacking goodness, friendly service, and mid-range prices that make this well worth visiting again and again. It's places like these that make me understand that restaurants CAN go vegan and not give up anything at all. If you're not vegan or vegetarian, you will still love the food served here. And if you ARE vegan or vegetarian, you will have the meal that will make you love the fact you are who you are.

Honestly the food was so AMAZING! Best food I’ve had in my whole trip to USA so far! The Bangalore bowl flavors I can only describe as an experience, the perfect balance of flavours and textures. Every bite was so delicious. The sandwich we got was reallyyy good too with a delicious side salad. The waiters very nice and accommodating also. Wish I could eat at this place more often if I didn’t live on the other side of the world haha!

Best staff ever! They are always friendly and inviting. The food is excellent no matter what you get. Every time I'm out that way I go there, even if it's out of the way. The coconut chocolate truffle mouse is delicious and a favorite of my families. Definitely a spot you should check out.

We were passing through Wisconsin and saw this place on the app. It exceeded our expectations!! The dipping sauce on the potatoes was amazing. The rest of the food and dessert were so tasty. Will definitely drop here again if we are in the area!!

Best Vegan restaurant we've been to in a while! - Edit
Our entire vegan family of 4 had the best meal ever! My son got the Deli-licious sandwich, which had vegan meat and cheese on a bun. My daughter loved her huge pancake with fresh fruit and homemade custard. My husband got the bowl, which he said was the best meal of our 2-week vacation, and I got the veggie sandwich on homemade gluten free bread, plus a side of tomato rice soup (perfect spice and so tasty). Everything was perfect. The gluten free bread was so delicious, that I ordered a piece to go, so that I could enjoy it for tomorrow's lunch. We also ordered a chocolate chip cookie to share (the cookie was huge), which was also amazing. In addition, the owner went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, and were enjoying our meal. Best vegan meal ever!

I was not expecting to find this gem but so glad I gave it a try. The desserts are incredible and it is obvious how much care goes into making all of the dishes. The staff are happy to be to there and they make for a great experience. I'm so glad I went out of the way on my road trip to give this place a try! Worth the time and the money.

Cute little cafe not far from Wisconsin Dells in Baraboo’s adorable downtown area. Variety of food options/cuisines without being too much. We had the spaghetti and deli sandwich, pie, chocolate mousse (and then a cupcake to go). All were really excellent, definitely worth the short trip from the dells.

Who would think that this little town would have an amazing vegan restaurant. We were afraid we were going to miss it. Added a couple of local hikes and hit this on our way out of town. Our only regret, didn’t have a chance to try the pancakes!! We split our entrees so half a portobello mushroom sandwich and half of the deli-icious sandwich. Both were outstanding. Then enjoyed some key lime cheezecake and took a cookie to go.

This place was truly a nice treat in Baraboo. Dev was a very pleasant person, and service was excellent. I had the Mediterranean pasta which was unreal, and the maple walnut pie for dessert - so so good. I got the stir fry for takeout dinner, and a fruit and nut cookie for my second dessert. everything was amazing.
