vegan lunch - Edit
Popped in here and had the vegan mac and cheese sandwich and vegan ‘mozzarella’ bites. Was really good and pub is decent. It’s not overly promoted as being vegan and feels like any other pub. Would definitely go back. And we could bring the dog and they put him on their instagram page! 🐶🐶🐶

beautiful pub - Edit
This pub is very nice and I really admire the brave choice of going completely vegan from one day to the other. The food may benefit from variety as there are mainly burgers options so far.

Hearty and Delicious Pub Food - Edit
Delicious food, friendly staff, good-sized portions. I had the green mac-n-cheese, which was very "more-ish," polenta fries (so good!) and a side salad of dressed fresh greens. I wrote about it on my blog (www.americanveganinlondon.com). I would love to go back. My one recommendation is to add another fresh (or cooked, but not fried) vegetable dish to the menu. Otherwise, top notch!
Read morePros: Food was hearty, delicious and plentiful., Everything is vegan, Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere
Cons: Would love to see more vegetables on the menu, Beer selection was small.

Handy casual food - Edit
The food is good...its not flashy and nice and simple. When you want some cheap comfort food you can't go wrong here. It is very exciting to see a vegan pub.
Read moreWould have been nice to have a little salad on the side.

Mac n cheese anyone? - Edit
We recently had dinner and a drink here on a Saturday evening. The place was busy, but we were lucky that some people left a few minutes after we arrived and we could take a couple of seats at a shared table.
Read moreThe vegan seitan burger was a popular choice - so popular that they had run out, so I ordered the green mac n cheese instead. There was only one other vg + gf item on the menu on the night, a vegetable burger, which my companion ordered.
The vegan mac n cheese was my favourite. The burger seemed a little dry for my liking and it was hard to get through it along with the polenta chips that were nice. Some green veg or salad with it would have been great.
About half of the menu is a spin off from the mac n cheese, which is fine with me, just a shame that it leaves little for those that cannot digest wheat.
Service was friendly and quick.
Pros: All vegan, Location, Friendly bar staff
Cons: Limited gf options, Generous portions

This place was so good! They have burgers such as halloumi burger, mac n cheese and even a mac n cheese toastie.... with extra cheese! Polenta fries were great and the mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce were amazing!!! So good this pub has gone all vegan forever!

Will be back.... - Edit
After only 25 days of being 100% Vegan this place is off to a cracking start. Everything on their menu looked really good and the place really filled up. Lots of space for seating and nice bar. House wines are vegan - it would be great if they offered some non alcoholic beer/wine options too. Service was very friendly albeit a bit frazzled at times ( especially in terms of the salt/pepper and sauces which seem to be scarce!) Will definitely be going back to check it out in a few months time when I'm sure there will be something to cure the sweet tooth too :)

A great start! - Edit
Brilliant to be able to eat in an all Vegan pub and they’re off to a flying start.
Read moreI loved the ‘Mozzarella’ sticks, the marinara sauce was epic too. My o/h loved the refried beans, jalapeño, ‘chorizo & chease’ sandwich and the seitan burger.
Would be great to see almond milk offered with tea and better choices on the beer front.
We look forward to seeing how things develop here.
Pros: All Vegan Menu , Friendly staff & relaxed atmosphere , Tasty, fun food.
Cons: Not for the overly health conscious Vegans!

Great new vegan venue - Edit
It is really good to have a vegan venue near the Angel. The Blacksmith and Toffeemaker is a large, spacious pub, with a laid back atmosphere. The toasted grilled cheese sandwich was excellent, as were the polenta fries. Service was prompt and friendly - order at the bar and the food is brought to your table. The only disappointment was that there were no desserts.
