Real donuts! - Edit
Most vegan donuts are cake donuts, which is little more than donut shaped cake. These donuts are delicious yeasty donuts, fried to perfection.

Hoping for its Return - Edit
Went into the new donut/coffee shop without realizing it’s no longer Big O & was very disappointed.
Read moreThe new place only has a few vegan options and they are nowhere near as good as Big Os.
Apparently they still sell online and in local shops occasionally but hopefully they get another location someday.

Delicious and fun vegan Donuts! - Edit
I love Big O, they are right next to Vertical Diner (a vegan diner in salt lake). They have many delicious donuts - my personal favorite is their churro styled one, but honestly any donut you get here is superb!

Dry donuts, only toppings have flavour - Edit
The donut component was lacking, think the donuts are just made to look pretty with little focus on their taste.

Orgasmic - Edit
I chose a churro doughnut and a horchata rice crispy treat. The doughnut was too sweet for me, but the rice crispy treat was perfect.

Is it a health-food paradise? Nooooo… but if you’re looking at this you already understand the appeal of a little naughty to go with all your nice.

Best EVER - Edit
We got a maple doughnut & the churro cake doughnut… SO good. The churro one was the best dessert I’ve ever had. I also thought it was reasonably priced!

Good but not my favorite donuts - Edit
I’d been to SLC twice before but hadn’t gotten to try Big O because it was closed when I was in the area, so I was excited to get to try it finally… but hate to say I was underwhelmed. I found my donut to be too fried, which is also what my bf and his mother said about theirs. As someone who travels a lot and has had vegan donuts in various places, I prefer Vegan Treats (PA), Donut Friend (CA), Donut Run (DC).

Vegan and Gluten Free Donut Heaven - Edit
Since moving to SLC I’ve become a regular of this place. So refreshing to find a purely vegan donut place and the fact that they offer gluten free makes me so happy as I typically cannot find treats that I can eat.

Vegan donuts - Edit
I was so happy to find a vegan donut shop in SLC. First I came here, it was already closed as everything was sold out before regular closing time. The second time I came earlier but there was not so much choices left. The donuts texture was different, one donut tasted more like cake. I have had better ones.

Get the Plain Jane - Edit
Tried 2 more on the plain side flavors. I believe the Plain Jane was the one that was more bread-like. It was really good. The other flavor was like a traditional donut... but the Plain Jane, oh how they need to base more of their flavors on that style of doughy doughnut. To tell the difference visually, it's larger than the rest. Could be the difference between fried and baked. I've tried vegan donuts from plain to ridiculously fancy, from supermarkets to accidentally vegan to specialty shops and I'm telling you, the Plain Jane is where it's at. That's different, that's special, that style of donut from Big O is worth trying. The kombucha they sell there is meh but they don't make it, it's bottled.
