High Time to go to Thai Time

Best Thai in the area by far. A dedicated team give lovely service alongside a separate vegan menu in vibrant surroundings. Choose wisely as you will get FoMo from other vegan dishes around you! Always welcoming, prompt service and a clean and organised kitchen you can peek in to from an open doorway. We have eaten our way through many of the vegan menu options and build visits to this historical town around Thai Time. The original Thai Time is in Forest Row, East Sussex and rumour has it that this Arundel branch will be relocating to Reigate, Surrey towards the end of 2024; no problem there as Reigate is an historical town too!

Pros: Comprehensive vegan menu, Modest pricing , Really friendly staff

Incredibly friendly staff!

Good food - a separate vegan menu for starters, mains & sides, and the waiter pointed out that the sorbets & one gelato option on the dessert menu were vegan. The waiter was extremely friendly and welcoming! I had the sweetcorn fritters, the vegan red curry, and a strawberry & Thai basil sorbet.

Best Thai food I’ve had

I had been meaning to try this place for ages and it didn’t disappoint. Very friendly service and a dedicated vegan menu which made it hard to choose what to have. The “Vegetable Betel Leaf Wraps” starter was fantastic (I’m still thinking about it!) and the waiter cheerfully demonstrated how to make each leaf into a sort of cone to accommodate the separate elements of the dish. For my main course I had “Pad Kee Mau Pak” or “Drunkard Noodles” (although I opted for sticky rice to go with it) which was a fiery hot medley of fresh crunchy veggies and tofu, absolutely delicious and the rice was perfect. I can’t wait to go back to this place.

Would be 10/10 if I could

Whole seperate vegan menu, but none of the vegan options are on the main menu. Had vegetable vegan crackers as opposed to prawn, sweet corn fritters and the spring rolls were vegetarian. Then for main had a vegan massaman curry which stated it had tofu in but there was none in the dish? Then as a side I also had tamarind tofu.

Pros: Good value for money, Extensive options, Well catered for

Cons: Vegan food isn’t on main menu, got to ask

Great food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff

Was looking for somewhere to eat after visiting Arundel castle and saw that this place has a dedicated vegan menu.

It's a spacious, airy restaurant with nice modern, vibrant decor. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

It was a real bonus to start off with vegan prawn crackers as you don't get those anywhere and they were more like the light and airy ones from a Chinese than the denser, spicier, yellowy ones you often get.

There were plenty of options including Pad Thai, red curry and Massaman (but notably not green curry). The food was very good (we went to Giggling Squid in Chichester 2 days prior and this was significantly better). The portions were also generous and had enough veg to make you feel good about yourself.

Would definitely recommend the Tamarind Tofu to share on the table. It's probably too rich to be your main dish, but it's very punchy and flavoursome and the tofu was lovely and crispy.

Pros: Food quality and portions, They have vegan prawn crackers!, Atmosphere and staff

Cons: Somewhat pricey (although about average for Thai), Only sorbet for vegan desserts
