Experimental plant-based restaurant now located at the Art Centre Mediamatic. A multi-course tasting menu is created weekly, evolving through guests' feedback, the chef's creativity, and seasonal, local ingredients. The food can be paired with house-made non-alcoholic drinks or natural and low-intervention wines. The experimental approach is supported by a sliding-scale price. TestTafel is a foundation supporting De Sering's mission to rebuild community through accessible food and free space for neighbourhood initiatives. Dinner was delicious! Such fascinating creative dishes... They had really creative non-alcoholic cocktails and gave us a baby pine cone after dessert!!

Amazing - Edit
Amazing food! Very creative, fresh, delicious. Completely exceed my expectations. Don’t know how this place is not more in the vegan radar yet. Lovely space, lovely and very knowledgeable staff and the non alcoholic pairing was also great! Definitely recommend and will return soon!!

Lovely experience & amazing plant based concept - Edit
The staff were super friendly and made us feel really welcome — such a nice vibe the whole evening. My partner and I loved the non-alcoholic pairings too, they were surprisingly good and worked so well with the food. Would definitely recommend!

Tasty experiments - Edit
The dishes were all nicely presented and made with interesting ingredients and flavours.
Read moreWe particularly liked the bread with bay aioli, cucumber mustard pickle and burnt spring onion butter; the mushroom pearl barley risotto with wild garlic and chicory; and the asparagus granite with mint chamomile cream.
The dishes were all small, and at first we were afraid we'd leave unsatisfied, but in the end we were nicely full.

A seven-course menu to support social initiatives - Edit
Love this place! Though it’s a bit outside the city center, it's right next to Sloterdijk station and easy to reach. I've been here several times already. The menu is fully plant-based and changes weekly. Delicious food, good wine—love their concept and vision!

New favourite! - Edit
Would love to return, also for the volkskeuken/squat kitchen nights. Great food and amazing atmosphere. At the end of our dinner, a club night started in the same space, the breakbeat tempted me to stay. Definitely take a look at their socials or site for the full event/dinner overview.

Best place in Amsterdam - Edit
Excellent atmosphere and people.
Read moreThey bring 7 dishes, all unique, delicious and original. With endless amounts of bread and dips. The bread is out of this world. Some of my friends bought their recipe book just to get that recipe!
With the testtafel you also help the Sering, which serves all you can eat lunch kitchen for an affordable price (5.5 EUR).
