Good bubble tea but ask which option are vegan

Visited July 2024

We asked the staff and they assured us that there are vegan options and showed us. So I hope they don't lied to us. The bubble tea was good and the service was not bad at all.

Pros: Taste, Service

Cons: Not premarking the vegan options

Unclear if it's milk or non-dairy

This is what their website says about their milk:

"Authentic Milk Tea

Combining high quality small scale farmed tea with a lactose free creamer and an array of delicious topping we created a satisfying and original milk tea with flavors that only we can provide in the Netherlands."

And this is what their staff said:
It's non-dairy. It's vegan.

I asked if it was simply lactose free milk and the staff insisted that it was vegan. If it's vegan, why won't you label it as such? What is your creamer even made of? I won't be going back due to this. It could very well be vegan but why is it so hard to tell me what the creamer is made of?

The tea itself wasn't exceptional but the tapiocas were fresh!

Dissappointing

I love bubble tea, but this place was very disappointing. First, the staff person told me that a lot of the drinks have pre-made milk products so can’t be made vegan (including the strawberry matcha a person posted about before my review). I ended up getting a watermelon refresher to avoid a potential dairy issue, and it was rather gross. Seeds were left in, which I can understand for things like passionfruit where the seeds can be eaten, but black watermelon seeds?! Ew. My partner said his brown sugar tea was only okay, and I was iffy on if it was vegan because it included non-dairy creamer according to the staff person (in the USA those are usually dairy free but not vegan because lactose is merely taken out, but the staff person said it was vegan).

Cons: Nothing clearly labeled, Staff might not be aware of vegan options, Not tasty
