Flavorful

I went here with my husband a couple weeks after it opened. When we arrived, the place was packed and we had to sit at the bar. We had the cauliflower hummus, with crudités, baba ganoush, moussaka, green salad, and falafel. The hummus was exceptional - it had caramelized onions, roasted cauliflower, and cilantro. I’m not usually a fan of baba ganoush (despite typically liking eggplant dishes), but the baba ganoush was also exceptional - this is the first time I’ve ever liked it. The crudités had shishito peppers, radish, carrot, cucumber, and pickled cauliflower (my personal favorite). The moussaka was pretty good - it was served cold, was pretty oily, and had chickpeas in it. One thing to note is that the baba ganoush and moussaka is listed on the menu as part of a 3 dip spread, but you can swap them out for one another - we got two moussakas and one baba ganoush. The tahini vinaigrette on the green salad was really good - it would have been much more enjoyable if they doubled the amount of dressing, but I’m a fiend for dressing, and sauces in general. Speaking of, the falafel was pretty good too. My only complaints are the portion size and the hardness. They’re likely hard because they’re so dang small, and being that they’re typically used as a vessel for copious amounts of sauce and hummus, it was very hard to get the tahini (which was spread on the plate) onto the falafel.

Overall it was very pricey for what you get - $70 for that and waters. All of the dishes are pretty small. If I return, I’ll probably only get the cauliflower hummus and the baba ganoush again. If I order the falafel again, I’ll request the tahini on the side, in a ramekin, for dipping. I may try the fattoush salad and the tahini hummus next time. The service was good, despite them being packed.

Pros: Plenty of options for vegans, Great flavor

Cons: Expensive
