Excellent food - Edit
Finally tried this place after living here for 2 years. As a vegan, I expected to be disappointed in their ability to accommodate me based on my experience with other Thai restaurants in the area. My husband and I frequented Sawasdee but it’s all the way in mandeville and I’ve heard great things about Baan Thai, so figured I’d call to see if they could make dishes vegan by omitting fish sauce. I was told there’s only fish sauce in one dish. They were also willing to accommodate my gluten-free request, though it would take slightly longer to make since they would make it from scratch. My husband had the fried rice and I had the drunken noodles. We finished with mango sticky rice, which had beautifully ripe mango, delicious sticky rice, and a thick coconut cream. The portions were great too. Couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience.

I love Baan Thai & Sawasdee as well. But you’re right, at times we don’t feel like driving all the way to Mandeville. Baan Thai is about 7-8 min from us.
