Great option in El Nido - Edit
It is great to have such a restaurant in El Nido. The food is nice. Service is not always very efficient but that’s ok. I ate there 4 times during my stay in El Nido. I absolutely loved their vegan lasagna as well as their banana bread. Some items on the menu are not as good though. The mac and cheese was ok but hadn’t much taste. I also tried two of their smoothie bowls. Again, one was really good and the other one was a bit average. It’s nevertheless worth going there while staying in El Nido

A vegan's must! - Edit
100% vegan! 💚 Went there several times, obviously.. Among the pricier places in El Nido, but the food is delicious and well presented, and the staff is really cool (and they are actually mainly vegans, too).. A must! Highly recommended.

Delicious food and cozy place! - Edit
We’ve been here three times in 2 days time! It’s a great place for vegans as they offer breakfast/lunch and dinner. We had the smoothiebowls twice which were amazing. The Mac’N’cheese was delicious same as the lasagna. They only offer three kinds of dinner but they are going to expand the menu in the future. The staff is super friendly and kind! We definitely recommend!!

Amazing Food! - Edit
My boyfriend (also vegan) and I have traveled to the Philippines many times now, and although it is known for it's spectacular beauty, it is not known for its cuisine. Fortunately, Taste is there to help all those traveling through.
Read moreI have heard from non-vegans that they tried Taste and it was some of their favourite food, ever!!
The food at Taste is comforting and delicious. We enjoyed the Eggplant Lasagna and the Mexican Bowl - both had a lot of flavour and was filling. We really wanted to try the Mac n Cheese but they ran out, apparently you have to go closer to lunch time for it :)!
We drove 45 mins from Nacpan beach to El Nido just to try the food and it didn't let us down!
Pros: hearty / healthy food, great flavour, variety of food
Cons: more expensive than other places

Delicious food - Edit
We have been to this all-vegan restaurant twice within three days, and will definitely be back before leaving El Nido. The food we tried was super delicious, perfectly presented and well priced. The smoothie bowls kept us full for more than 4 hours and the banana nut bread was to die for. Lastly the staff was super nice.

Amazing food, reasonably priced, lovely staff. We had the lasagne and the mac and cheese. Both were delicious and generous portions. 100% recommend. Wish we had time to go back and try the smoothie bowls and cake.

Great food, meals often not available - Edit
Taste is a fully vegan cafe and has a small selection of mains, three sweet treats, tea, barista coffee and smoothie bowls. The food tastes great but unfortunately their meals and snacks are often not available. One day they do not have the eggplant lasagne and the other day they do not have mac n cheese. Not even talking about the choc chip cookies which they never had when I was there. The reason was that they apparently always have difficulties to get vegan chocolate. I suggested them to simply change the flavour to e.g. peanut butter or apple cinnamon, then there would not be so many disappointed customers.

Bowls good anything else is not - Edit
Bowls are faire but the hot food is not tasty and pricy. Bowls are shut over price as well. Mexican bowl is a joke with lots of rise some beans, lettuce and tomate And mayo it’s very simple with a lot of white rice for the 320 pesos we paid for it.

Cons: Hot food pricy and tasteless , Bowls are pricy as well(5€ each), Bowls are served with very little toppings.

Chilled and nice place. We had the vegan Mac and cheese, and the Mexican chipotle rice bowl. Both delicious! Topped it off with chocolate chip cookies and banana bread for dessert. They also have a couple of board games, really like the feel of the place. Nice staff too.

Ity only been open 5 months but we were totally blown away by the quality of the food, the presentation and style of the place itself. The staff were so so friendly we will be back again and again. The smoothie bowls are beautiful and the mac n cheese is the best vegan mac I've ever eaten!

Amazing smoothie bowls - Edit
Funky, modern interior and very clean. The owners are so welcoming and friendly. Savory dishes limited to three options but all delicious. The flavor options for the smoothie bowls were all really interesting and used a lot of ingredients I hadn't seen anywhere else on the island. Soy milk as standard with option of Almond and coconut too. Loved it and only wish I had more time to try all the options!

Best vegan lasagne I've ever had! - Edit
This place is an absolute gem if you are vegan. We fancied a sweet snack on our way back to our hotel and we thought we'd pop into Taste to see what they had to offer. We were greeted by the owners who were so lovely. As we got chatting, 5 minutes turned into an hour or so (in a good way). Whilst we had our banana nut bread, I thought I'd give the eggplant lasagne with cashew cheese a try and wow it was amazing to the point I could have had it again! The seasoning was on point and the presentation was beautiful.

Read moreMe and my friend are traveling Asia finding it very difficult to eat as vegans. Walking down the street we stumbled across this gem and got very excited. We were disappointed! We ordered the Mac & cheese and Lasnaga, both were delicious and to a standard you’d expect in London. The staff were super friendly and so lovely. The owner even went to collect more lasnaga for us as they had run out. Will most likely be coming back while in El Nido as this is definitely the best vegan option we’ve found!
Pros: Amazing food , Lovely staff , Nice aesthetic
Cons: Only 3 main, assume they will be adding more

LASAGNA...MAC N' CHEESE... OH MY!!!! - Edit
At the time of our visit (mid August), Taste was undergoing renovations, so the menu was limited only to their smoothie bowls, plus lasagna, mac-n-cheese & mexican bowl. All I have to say, all three of the dishes available were AMAZING. We literally ate there every single day we were in El Nido. The owners were fabulous and their story, and what they are doing in this little beach town, is very inspiring. Out of all the places I have travelled in Asia, this by far was the best vegan restaurant yet! Also - you MUST try their coffee. WOW!
