The tortas are better than the tacos, give them a try. We tried all the fillings, including the special of the day, cochinita. Our favourite was bistek, but to be fair they're quite similar. It would be great with an option that's not "meat" based for those of us who don't like the taste and texture.
Read moreAs others have mentioned, there can be some waiting time as it's a tiny place with just one person cooking. She tends to heat up too much filling at a time and then puts it back in the container it came from, which is perhaps not the most sanitary. Would also be great if the sauces came in bottles instead of boxes, but they added a nice flavour.

Happened to walk past this stall today while looking for the fire show! Did wait s while but they only have 1 cooker so can only do 1 order at a time!

Super tasty vegan tacos. And they have a couple neighbours who also serve vegan options, including pizza, desserts and ice cream. There was even a couple of street performers dancing with fire when we were there. How can you go wrong?

Read moreIt’s a slow service because they heat everything in front of you but it’s worth it. I tried each of the tacos and loved each one. Soya Pibil was probably my favorite one. Also, they’re so cheap–only 14 pesos.
Definitely worth making a trip out if you have the chance.

Best vegan spot in Tucatan - Edit
La Gata Negra serves delicious authentic vegan Mexican food! We found this gem to our surprise. I ordered their torta de barbacoa and one taco of each pastor and bistek, everything was freaking good. I traveled all along the coast of Yucatan and tried many vegan restaurants and this was the best one. I had to go back on my way to the airport. MUST TRY! Great prices for quality and quantity’s

This food stand is on a very lovely little market square called 'the artists market'. The vibe there is great and I loved just hanging out there. Some artists were doing a fire show while we were eating- highly recommend!

I also recommend getting a drink from the stand next to her - get some water with fruit, it's amazing!!
I was told she's only there on Saturdays though.
