Serves meat, vegan options available. Thai food with separate menu section for veggie dishes, and cater to individuals with food allergies. Near Tenleytown Metro Station stop. Reported closed Mar 2019.
Thai food is always veg-friendly. To list this place on Happy Cow similarly justifies every other Thai restaurant to also be listed. Nonetheless, here's my review.
Back in the day, this part of D.C. did not have many veg options for a sit down dining experience. That's how Tanad became an alleged 'veg-friendly' place, because there was nowhere else nearby that would have a sit down restaurant meal.
Moreover, my vegan friends have on different occasions asked different wait staff at different dining experiences about the veg nature of their curries. The result was that the ones who cared would inform us that the curry dishes used sauces pre-made from cans or bottles that listed shrimp paste or fish paste as an ingredient. So, beware the curry dishes. Also, any dish, especially with noodles, if you need it vegan, please be sure to tell them not to use egg!
You will not be impressed by the food here, but if there is no other choice of location, I suppose you can eat here and have veg*n dishes- stir fry or noodles, not curry sauces.
