Amazing - Edit
Spending 2 weeks and a half in Cape Verde was amazing but even more amazing was having this place to get the ingredients to make a vegan Catchupa. Very friendly staff, food was great, nice and chilled little spot.

5 stars – Absolutely loved it! - Edit
We had such a wonderful experience at Restaurante Tambake! Everything we tried was incredibly tasty — full of flavor and beautifully presented. The variety in the shop was also a big plus; it’s great to see such a good selection of vegan products in one place. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious vegan meal in a lovely setting!

Great vegan café/restaurant - Edit
Tried this a few times. Had pancakes, Acai, chocolate muffin (so good), seitan sandwich, tambakers. Best vegan only cafe in Praia. Rotating specials every day

Pros: also sells vegan products, fully vegan, daily specials

Vegan haven - Edit
The setting is lovely, the menu is extensive and they had all the items available. Although pricier than other restaurants in Praia we felt the price was fair for what they offered because it was unique.
Read moreWe had the macro toastie and a tofu paste, pesto, tomato and seeds on toast. Both were delicious. The bread was excellent.
We also had the veggie burger and pancakes topped with homemade Nutella and caramelised bananas.
Again really good!
We tried two juices and were happy with them though felt a bit more expensive compared to the food.
Really impressed they make their own plant based milk, which my husband enjoyed with his coffee.
I have added the menu in the photos but there is a restriction of 9 pictures. The only picture missing is the page for cous cous. It has cornmeal, cinammon and rice molasses as the base for 350 CVE. You can add other sweet toppings for 50 CVE each.
2nd visit - came back later in the day hoping for the dish of the day but they ran out, so I recommend you get it at lunch time and not hope it's still available early evening.
3rd visit - we had the two dishes of the day as a lunch set. Delicious, hearty and good value compared to individually priced items. The cacao Gelato was stunning you must have it!

Nice little place - Edit
We went there several times (as it's the only fully vegan place in Praia) so I tried many things off the menu. I liked the seitan sandwich, though when I ordered it again another day it was not nearly as full as the first time which was a bit sad. The tofu scramble toast was really good and the burger and the pancakes as well. The waiters were nice and friendly, though difficult to communicate with as we don't speak Portuguese but we managed 👍🏼

Unique Vegan! - Edit
Good daily lunch choices! Today's quinoa salad was nice. Pumpkin-spinach pastries were too dry and tasteless with very little filling. Lovely orange pudding!

Cute place😄 - Edit
if you're vegan and looking for a place to eat in Praïa, you've come to the right place. Plenty of choice in the store (there's tofu in the fridges) and there's the option of eating in.

Must visit - Edit
Already ate there 3 times and feeling blessed that I have this spot close to my place so I can go there every lunch break I want.
Read moreFirst and foremost- they are not afraid of mixing flavours using great variety of fresh veg and spices - unfortunately quite rare in the lusophone countries. They have their menu but I recommend to go for a meal of the day (2 options everyday). Healthy, full of flavour and well thought through way of cooking. Not the cheapest but definitely not expensive, absolutely worth what you get on the plate.
On top of that, all women working there always well receiving with a smile on their faces. It really makes you want to come back.
Highly recommended for all vegan/vegetarian/flexitarian foodies.

Great find in Cape Verde - Edit
This is such a nice find in Cape Verde where there aren't many vegan options. The shop is really cool, I bought some bamboo straws, and vegan cookies. And the food is super nice! I had a lentil burger and banana nice cream (on multiple occasions 😅) will definitely be going back!

Great restaurant, with tasty ingredients and surprising recipes. A blessing considering that is the only vegan restaurant in the country. I was really happy to discover it after several week in Cabo Verde! A must try
