AMAZING Vegan Food in WEST COUNTY! Mind blowing! - Edit
A friend of mine spotted the white lucky cat painted on the window of the newly opened Hot Pot Smoothie Shop and peaked inside to inquire what it was all about. Despite being on Manchester Rd, this is not very easy to spot or understand what is going on once inside. A great chef obviously started this place, the choice of sauces (many oil-free) are AMAZING (miso, for example) You choose your base of rice/noodles, etc and veggies mix (add tofu/tempeh if desired) and they cook it in the sauce to produce an amazingly flavorful steaming bowl of goodness! They have Siraccha & Brags on hand to spice it up a bit if desired. The smoothies are wonderful, too, I highly recommend adding the Swedish Fish as an odd topper that sets this quirky place apart! I fear this place is far too advanced for the area so please please please support the Hot Pot Smoothie Shop, its the perfect alternative to everyone who is burned out on Crazy Bowls and Wraps and the quality and level of sauce flavors is miles beyond.

Choose your own bowl ingredients to make a tasty meal. Tofu is offered as a protein, wide variety of fresh veggies (rake it through the garden for all of them- no extra charge!), variety of sauces, and noodles, ,rice, potatoes, quinoa, or zucchini noodles as a base. I usually get a tofu, a variety of veggies, udon noodles and yaki/ spicy miso sauce. Big portions. Juices and smoothies also available. Symbol is fast casual in style and while there is limited seating, I think I have always been able to get a table.

I've been to HotPot (now called SymBowl) a few times and they always put too much sauce and oil on my food. Even when I ask for light sauce, it comes out drenched. Also, be cautious because the food comes out PIPING hot! I almost burned my mouth. I'm glad there's somewhere with healthier options in St. Louis, though. Very cool atmosphere.

Lovely Restaurant - Edit
It is always great to find a restaurant that is friendly to all types of eaters. This had options for my whole family. I prefer to eat vegan, my husband loves meat and my kids are picky. We were all happy. The service was great and the restaurant was tidy and had plenty of seating on a busy day.

Excellent low-oil vegan bowls - Edit
Happy Cow would not allow 5 stars, but I absolutely love the vegan, low-oil bowls here. "Rake it through the garden" gets you all the veggie ingredients. Just do it, trust me.

I stopped here on my way back to the airport for lunch. Thankfully, an earlier review mentioned the white cat in the window or I would have missed this place. The food was very flavorful and I like the options available. The staff was friendly and helpful in navigating the menu. There is plenty of free parking and the prices are right! This is a jewel of a place. Happy to have eaten there.
