Vegan Ice Cream Options

1st time here. Friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. They have a few different options for rolled vegan ice cream as well as toppings and sauces. I had a vanilla ice cream with strawberries and chocolate fudge. Rolled ice cream is different from regular ice cream. It was a unique experience that I welcome repeating.

It’s okay

This place seemed over priced compared to other ice cream places near by.

Still Searching . . .

I was excited to see a vegan base on the menu board, but I have to agree with the other reviewer that it wasn't that great. Also, just a heads up to anyone with food allergies or who doesn't want their dessert to have a bit of dairy in it, they don't wipe off the surface between orders unless you ask ahead of time. I had the vegan base with Oreo mix-in and Oreo topping. It was syrupy sweet and didn't have the creaminess that I was hoping for. The vegetarian I was with liked her dairy version though. Anyone know where the best vegan ice cream in Rehoboth is?

Pros: friendly staff

Cons: Vegan base is disappointing

It's okay

Besides being a novelty, I found Sweet Charlie's to be a variation on Cold Stone. I'm happy they offer a vegan base as 1/3 bases you can get, but the base looks straight up like simple syrup. It somehow freezes to be opaque, but tastes just like pure sugar. It isn't "creamy" like you would expect. If I had known that, I probably would've ordered some fruit to mix in to make a sorbet, which would have tasted pretty good. If you add some acid to the sweet base, I'm sure it'll improve on the taste 10 fold. Over all, I'd rather buy some delicious vegan ice cream at the grocery store or get something from Mug & Spoon.

Pros: vegan option that is labeled, staff asks if you have allergies

Cons: base is too sweet, texture is more like sorbet
