Gone

I passed by here the other day. It got replaced by some other restaurant. Don't see Nagoya listed among their branches on their website anymore either. Too bad, I really liked it.

Only one option, but tasty

Unfortunately there is only one vegan option. There was a dessert that could have been vegan as well but had milk in it. The food was delicious and I’m grateful for any vegan options provided but I wish that there was a little bit more (a side dish, a dessert or an appetizer etc).
Allergens are listed for each item, so you can see if there is egg, milk etc in the products.
Update: their toufa dessert option is vegan!

Tricky to Find and Order, but Tasty!

The pin on the Happy Cow app got me turned around, but searching “Sunroom Sakae” in my map app led me to it in the underground Central Park Mall. There isn’t a marked vegan item on the menu, but they did have a seasonal autumn dinner set that was coincidentally vegan! The first waitress I spoke to wasn’t sure what they were offering, but when she asked the chef he quickly pointed it out to her. The set included seasonal mushrooms, veggie tempura, and soy meat over rice; pickled vegetables; tofu; beans; seaweed; and miso soup. It was all very good! So while finding the restaurant and communicating my needs was a little confusing, the end result was worth the hassle.

Pros: Tasty, seasonal vegetables, Full dinner set to sample and enjoy

Cons: Tricky to find, Vegan offering isn’t clearly labeled

Pretty good

A nice shojin ryori set if your're in the mood for some traditional Japanese food. The ume shiso rice and kabayaki soy meat were delicious.

Pros: One vegan set

Cons: Set may only be for summer
