Delicious smoothies

Had a ceremonioal matcha with oat milk on the side and a delicious cocoa smoothie bowl. Very well prepared and generous on the toppings.

Average not sure if I’d come back again

So I saw that this was a highly reviewed place and don’t get me wrong, it’s cute and cozy with a large menu. It has lots of things that can be done vegan or come vegan. I did substitute eggs for fried tofu, but real eggs came out. The juice was a carrot, lime and pineapple and I’m not sure if it’s just my palate but it was sour and awful. The fruit bowl was good but not the best I’ve had on the island. I’d probably skip it and go somewhere else if you’re vegan

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback – we truly appreciate it.

We would like to clarify that we have put a lot of thought and care into designing our menu. In fact, we even accepted compromises in aesthetics to ensure that vegan and vegan-optional dishes are clearly and transparently marked. All such options are highlighted in green to avoid misunderstandings.

The dish you selected, Eggs Benedict with truffle cream cheese, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce, unfortunately cannot be made fully vegan, as these elements define the dish itself. However, we do offer several alternatives where similar components can be combined – for example sourdough or croissants with vegan truffle cream, tofu, and vegan crispy bacon. A vegan hollandaise is currently not part of our menu.

Our team did try to explain this, and we sincerely apologize if this was not communicated clearly enough. Differences in language levels and accents can sometimes lead to misunderstandings, and we are actively working on improving this.

Regarding the juice: we use only freshly pressed ingredients and deliberately avoid industrial sugar. As a result, flavors can vary depending on the natural ripeness of the fruits, and sometimes may taste more sour. We would have happily adjusted it with a natural sweetener (such as date syrup) upon request.

The same applies to our fruit bowls, which are made from fresh tropical fruits whose sweetness we cannot fully control.

Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we take it as motivation to further improve our communication with guests. At the same time, we understand that taste – especially with natural products – can be very individual.

Thank you again for your visit and your honest feedback.

Warm regards,
Sunny Side Up – Koh Samui ☀️
