Wer in Stralsund ist, sollte hier unbedingt herkommen. Reserviert euch unbedingt vorher einen Tisch, denn es gibt nur eine geringe Anzahl an Plätzen (sieht im Sommer wahrscheinlich etwas besser aus).

Read moreWie der Titel schon sagt: inzwischen unser absolutes Lieblingscafe. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich, aber frisch (früher haben wir immer "unser Hipster-Cafe" gesagt :D) und die Mitarbeiter sind fröhlich, freundlich und machen den Eindruck, Spaß an ihrem Job zu haben.
Wir (beide Veganer) haben dort noch nie etwas gegessen, was uns nicht geschmeckt hätte! Es gibt inzwischen eine komplett vegane Frühstücksoption, die von Aufschnitt, Aufstrichen, Marmelade und Obst zu Tomate-"Mozarella", veganem Joghurt mit Granola und einem frisch gebackenen kleinen Schokocroisant reicht. Danach ist man aber sowas von satt.
Außerdem empfehlen können wir die Merry Berry Bowl, die Raw Cacao Bowl, das Tofu-Rührei (wobei ich das NOCH lieber mochte, als es ein Brötchen statt Toast gab) und die vegane Pancake-Variante.
Getränke gibts alle auch mit Hafermilch und auch kleine Anpassungen werden gerne umgesetzt.
Probieren sollte man auch unbedingt die vegane Tomatenbutter!
Zwei Sachen, die man wissen sollte, wenn man kommen möchte:
Es gibt drinnen nur recht wenig Tische, man sollte also unbedingt reservieren, bevor man kommt.
Außerdem wird alles hier frisch zubereitet, sodass es manchmal ein bisschen länger dauern kann. Also nicht, wenn man in Eile ist, sondern in Ruhe zum genießen. :)

As the title says this is our absolute favourite place. The atmosphere is cozy but breezy (earlier we called it "our hipster cafe" :D) ans the staff is cheerful, friendly and gives the impression of liking the job.
We (both vegans) have never eaten anything there that we didn't enjoy! There is a full vegan breakfast option now featuring cold cuts, spreads, marmalade and fruits as well as tomato with "mozarella", vegan yoghurt with granola and a fresh baked chocolate croissant.
After finishing you are sure to be stuffed!
We can also recommend the merry berry Bowl, the Raw Cacao Bowl, the scrambled tofu (although i liked it even more when it was sserved with a bread bun instead of toast) and the vegan pancake version.
Drinks are all served with oatmilk on request an small changes in the dishes are no problem.
You should also definitely try the vegan tomato butter!
Two things to know if you want to visit:
There are few places so booking a table is basically mandatory. Furthermore everything is freshly made so don't come when you're in a hurry. This is to relax and enjoy. :)

We were in town in February 2019, and the place seemed to be quite new. We were pleased with the availability of several different varieties of non-dairy milk alternatives, and the "latte" made with oats "milk" was nice. Full breakfast options were all non-vegan, and it was unfortunately not possible to improvise a vegan breakfast plate. My friend instead negotiated to have a non-vegan dish (french toast with hummus and ham) turned into a vegan one. The staff knew how to do this, and my friend was quite happy with the result. Most fully vegan dishes are granola-type sugary things with hip "super-food" ingredients- which I don't like, but others might. We were also not interested in gluten-free options, of which there are several. All in all, this a good choice for vegan coffee and breakfast in a town where both are very hard to find.

If you happen to be in Stralsund again it might be worth visiting again - they have a full vegan breakfast option now as well as vegan bowls, pancakes and tofu scrambled "eggs". And the best tomato "butter" in the world! :D
