First, all vegan so great for that. But really wasn’t a fan of the food. We had the ramen, which lacked veggies and tofu. Also, the shawarma was was weirdly sweet and desperately needed salt, lemon or spice. Just wasn’t that good, or filling or cheap.

We were impressed by our meals at this lovely restaurant on an attractive square in Toledo. My (meat eating) husband finished his whole bowl of curry with gusto, and talked about how good it was the next day! We also had the tiramasu which was great! The gentleman who served us was also really lovely and helpful.

My second time in this restaurant and it exceeded expectations, even my non-vegan friends ones. The menu is not very long but varied. They offer innovative dishes like Palm heart and mango ceviche or Ferrero Rocher dessert, and more traditional ones like ramen or meat- alternative burgers.

The flavors were bold and exciting, just the right amount of heat, perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the mango and the tangy leche de tigre. The textures were also spot on: crunchy, juicy, and smooth all in one bite. One of the best vegan dishes I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something fresh, creative, and full of flavor!

I've been traveling for 3 weeks, mostly eating simply and avoiding the hype of restaurants. Under pressure from friends I went to 2 famous places in London and found them stressful, expensive, and a poor use of time. I may have gotten lucky with my order here, but both dishes blew me away and brought me real pleasure. I chose the cherry ceviche because I like cherries in soup, plus I don't generally like ceviche but thought I could give it another chance. It was garnished with olive oil and pretty dried flowers and had a glowing rich flavor. I chose the truffle stuffed artichokes because I was still sore about the mealy sour artichoke I had in London (Ottolenghi) and wanted a healing experience. They were glorious! Smooth and rich, and with the magical artichoke spell that enhanced the ceviche.
Read moreI'm just sad I didn't order more things, and that I couldn't get back for dinner. The sun, steep climbs, and tragedy of Toledo are no joke and knocked me out, but the peace and lovely view from Street & Soul did a lot to balance out the experience.
I finally signed up to Happy Cow (long time listener first time caller) just to praise this meal!

A perfect lunch while visiting the cathedral. We had a reservation for 1p and split our time at the cathedral in two. (Side note: When we went back to the cathedral after lunch, the crowds were smaller.)

We shared the ceviche, black hummus(made with black chickpeas and black sesame seeds), and pear salad. Ending with Ferrero Rocher dessert. Plenty of food and all full of great flavors.
