Opened Feb 2018, relocated to new address Feb 2022, a social enterprise vegan restaurant that employs homeless people and people after leaving jail. Offers lunch menus, wide range of local vegan cuisine, fair-trade coffee, alcoholic drinks including local draught beer, vegan and gluten-free cakes and other desserts and last but not least a variety of high quality non-alcoholic alternatives. Open Mon-Wed 16:00-23:00, Thu-Fri 16:00-00:00, Sat 12:00-00:00, Sun 12:00-23:00.

Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

Obsluha také příjemná.
Dříve jsem měla k podniku určité výhrady, ale zatím hodnotím 5/5 a doufám, že nebudu muset na hodnocení ubírat :)

Every time I’m in Prague I go at least once for a dinner here!
A long year since my last visit and now finally I could come back and found some exciting news on the menu! Unfortunately, my beloved pickled sausage was not longer listed on the menu. Instead there were two new small dishes equally good!
The “tlačenka” which is originally pieces of meat and veg in jelly, here veganised it’s seitan and tofu and it’s DELICIOUS! Served with bread and onion poured over with vinegar.
Second was “skvarky” originally roasted lard. Something I could never understand how people can eat. Here, veganised, I totally loved it!
Looking forward to be back again:-)

Strecha in new location, still smashing it! Had a lunch offer - so (not bloody) good veganised bourguignon with pumpkin puree. Haven't had so good vegan meal in a while.

This restaurant is really cheap, my friend and I paid only around 30€ for a starter that we shared, 2 main dishes, 2 pieces of cake, 2 big drinks and a meal donation. The staff is friendly, the portion sizes are big, they have english menus and everything we tried was delicious and typically czech.

Very nice place, the kebab on plate (165czk) and Schnitzel (140czk) are very good and tasty, goulash is good but the bread (vapor) is a little bit heavy

The bar is in the city center. Prices are okay. The taste is on medium level . I ate only one order out of 4. I would not go back there. If u are hungry yes u can eat but thats all.

We absolutely loved the chips and fried cheese! Never had this ad a vegan version and it was so good. Stiffed dumplings and Gulasch also super delicious and very filling.

First time in Prague and went to bistro Strecha 3 times in 5 days. The food is just amazing and the staff is really friendly. Had gulasch, ribs and pies filled with potatoes and vegan cheese. But the best was probably the schnitzel with potato sallat.

A cute little bistro! We ordered the ribs which were good, but i think other options on the menu would have been even better. The fries and the homemade lemonade were amazing! We definitely would visit this bistro again. It also was very cheap.

We had the fried cheese, soy goulash and bbq ribs. Ribs and fried cheese was good, goulash wasn’t my favorite to be honest. That dish was missing some veggies and so did the others to be honest. Fried cheese was amazing & so were the fries. Apricot cake was tiny bit dry but still yummy

Elegant Spot. Hearty Food. - Edit
Eating at Bistro Stretcha while visiting Prague was a memorable experience. I love that the high quality of its social mission (employing formerly incarcerated people) matches the high quality of its food. It was a chilly evening when I ate there: that's why the Fries with 3 Dips dish and the Gnocchi with Dried Tomato Pesto / Black Olives / Tomatoes was satisfying. This is a must-try spot when you're in Prague.
