Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

Wonderful Czech cuisine - Edit
The ambient is nice and there is a great list of diverse dishes offered. The prices are great, the staff too. Goulash was very tasty, the ribs themselves were a bit too sweet, but very nice in combination with vegan mayo and caramelized onions.

Delicious - Edit
Such tasty food. Everything feels like the ultimate comfort food. Once again, wanting to taste too many items, leads to over ordering. But everything was so goos, it was worth it.

Rustic and delish! - Edit
The location looks like a Bavarian pub. Comfy but a little loud. We didn't mind.
Read moreThe dishes were incredibly delicious! I enjoyed the Knödel and the Rotkohl and my friend had the Schnitzel. It was the best vegan Schnitzel I've ever eaten. Very thick and savory and crispy.
I would always come back for authentic bohemian food. Love!

Must go if you’re Vegan in Prague - Edit
Just a short walk out of the old town in Prague, I went to Strecha with my two non-vegan friends. Did not disappoint at all and was a reasonable price for what we got.
Read moreWe ordered the jackfruit loaded fries to share and I got the ribs with plum sauce. The portions were quite generous and the food was hearty and delicious.
Nick ordered the dark beer goulash and “was impressed by the dark and beer-y flavour palette” (he liked it).
They also had a nice selection of beers that the waiter explained to us and we ordered three different ones to try them all.
My non-vegan friends were also impressed with the establishment and I would definitely come again next time I’m in Prague.
Pros: Delicious, hearty food that fills you up, Reasonably priced
Cons: A bit outside the old town but worth the walk

Great food with a great heart - Edit
The food tasted great and was affordable. Střecha offers a great range of dishes from 'steak' to national specialties like halušky. Beyond the food, Střecha has a wonderful mission in offering jobs to those who have experienced homelessness or served time in prison. What's not to like?

My favorite Restaurant, we visited during our visit in Prague.

We liked the lemonade and the Iced Kurkuma Latte.
My filled dumplings had an interesting taste, which was new for me and which I liked. The Schnitzel was very crispy and the Potatoe Salad tasty. We never had it in a combination with peas and carrot before.
All in all new flavours for us, very yummy.
Friendly staff, quick service - would come back for sure!

One of the best traditional vegan restaurants in Prague - Edit
At Strecha you can find many traditional Prague dishes. It's fully vegan! I fell in love with the Goulash, but the other dishes we had were also amazing, even the desserts. We paid 11€ each (0,5l beers, gulash, cake, another dish we shared), perfectly!

Po rokoch nejedenia mäsa som si dal bramborové plnené knedlíky se zelím. Dá sa to aj bez mäsa. Výborné, chutné. Reštaurácia - taká klasická pražská hospoda. Veľká spokojnosť.

Good place to get some vegan Czech foods - Edit
I liked the ambience of the restaurant. Went there for a meal with multiple courses. Taste was good in general, but a bit too salty and the dumplings were too dry. But nonetheless a good place to get some veganized Czech foods.
