Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

Great location - Edit
Good vegan option for the city centre but unfortunately we found the food a little underwhelming. We had the 'duck' and the 'ribs' - ribs had a nice flavour but had a bread-like texture, we liked it the most out of what we tried. The 'duck' had little flavour and was quite bland. Cakes were very dry. Decent option for central prague though

Great food and friendly service - Edit
Nice vegan selection. Many Czech dishes that are prepared vegan. Plenty of space inside. Unfortunately, it was very warm, but it was manageable. The service was friendly. Overall, a nice experience.
Read moreUpdate: Second visit, just before the kitchen closed - the goulash had hardly any "meat" pieces, just the broth. The schnitzel was tasty.

Good Vegan Lunch - Edit
Great food! Me and a non-vegan friend ate burgers here for lunch with some lemonade, and it was all we could have asked for. Good staff, central location and tasty food. Would recommend if you want a relatively inexpensive vegan meal!

Traditional Czech food - vegan!! - Edit
I came here with my Czech friend and we were both delighted with the food we tried and the cozy environment (she confirmed it’s like a traditional Czech restaurant). Definitely recommend the “duck” dish and the cherry koláč for dessert. Loved being able to try traditional Czech dishes as a vegan, and also love their mission!

The food was amazing, we loved it so much that we went for dinner and for lunch the next day. Also the social program with homeless people and ex convicts is a really good initiative.

Great Veganized Czech Food - Edit
We had this on our to-visit list from the start of our travels to Prague, but we were unable to make it until our last night. What a mistake! We would have come here at least 2-3 more times if we could have. The menu had a diverse amount of veganized Czech food, and provided the weight of the food on the plate, which we really appreciated.
Read moreMy partner had the schnitzel with potato salad, and said it was one of his top 3 vegan dishes on our travels. We aren't sure what they did for the protein, but it was stringy like chicken would be. The breading was delightfully crispy, and the potato salad tasted like the classic recipe back home.
I had the No-Ribs with plum sauce, and it was super tasty! It was a hefty amount of Seitan, and the sauce wasn't too saucy or sweet. It was nice to have with the side salad and some fresh bread.
We really struggled to pick out our menu items, because we were also really tempted to get the charcuterie board with vegan cheeses, which we have not seen before. I tried to talk my husband into getting it for "dessert," but he was full from dinner 🤷♀️
If you are in Prague and looking for a great meal selection, definitely go here!

We went here for dinner after a busy day exploring the city. Whilst it was busy with lots of tables taken, spares for those without reservation were available and we were quickly seated.

Amazing czech food with helpful staff - Edit
The menu is incredibly varied with a great selection of authentic czech food. I love the ethos behind the restaurant. The restaurant itself is big, with free wifi, water for everyone, as well as the option to pre pay for lunch for someone in need. I had the bean soup and cabbage pancakes with pork which was a daily special and was delicious.

Czech food for the good - Edit
If you want to try the typical czech dishes cruelty free, this is the place to go to. We had the gulash and the dumblings on Red cabbage - both were amazing and for a typical czech price - really inexpensive. So there is more than enough left for the tip and the option to donate a meal for a person in need. Read the menu for further information.😄

Amazing! - Edit
Went here while visiting. Loved the food. Ended up going back multiple times for dinner, tried a bunch of different meals and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. Schnitzel and potato salad, goulash, garlic soup, kebab plate and no ribs in plum sauce were all amazing. The dumplings and cabbage were also good but probably too much for one person, we were lucky as we were sharing. Also had non vegans with us and they loved it as well.

Nice but too heavy - Edit
The place is very nice and also the social aspect. You can buy a meal voucher for somebody else. The food was nice but for me it was too much cheese and too few veggies but that is personal taste. And my table and at least the two around very sticky.
