When in the area - Edit
Although there are a bunch of places to eat in this area, I was happy to hear about this place. Just about everything offered is soy and gluten free. All is vegan. They make their own mock meat, nut based. Prices are alright considering the area. Food is prepared early in the day and heated up on order. Nice guy running the place who cares about the vibe of the food.
Pros: All Gluten Free, Nice Vibe

Little hidden place - Edit
I saw this place on HappyCow and had to stop in to try it since I frequent Venice Beach. Was here in September and October 2013, and here's my Source Cafe review.
This place is more like a little food bar than a cafe/restaurant. It's tucked in the back of a clothing and accessories shop underneath the what was once a Hare Krishna temple in Venice on Rose and 2nd Ave.
The menu is concise and offers a few cooked vegan items as well 1 or 2 daily flavors of raw cake/pie. So far I've stopped in for the raw cheesecake twice. However, in October 2013 I was told that the raw chef who made the raw cakes is no longer here. Too bad. You could still get a kale salad and cooked vegan food.
