Serves meat, vegan options available. Authentic South Indian and Sri Lankan food. Some vegetarian dishes that would include eggs by default can be veganized - please ask staff. Menu includes parotta (flatbread dish), dosai (rice pancake), or idyappam (rice noodle dish). There are also special curries, such as spinach, eggplant, soy meat, and plantain. You better read the menu carefully - Edit
Not your standard Indian cuisine. Less rice, more dough. I don't know how authentic it is or how much it caters to Western palates, but it was nice for a change. Unfortunately the dishes aren't marked as vegan in the menu, but as they have a sign outside that says "we offer vegan and halal food" I trust they can answer truthfully when you ask them for vegan or veganized dishes. There are also allergens marked in the menu, so you could look through those little superscript numbers, but sometimes you have them in the description and not in the name of the dish. For example there's a dish without a allergen declaration in the name, but in the description it says "fried in butter" and behind "butter" you got the number for dairy. That's kind of tedious, but keeping this in mind the allergen declarations do seem reliable. And yeah, as I said, the food is nice. I wasn't overly impressed, but I also wouldn't mind dining there again.

Awesome south indian food - Edit
We went to Sri Lanka last year and we were desperate to find something that would taste similar to what we ate there.. The dishes here taste really good, you really forget you are still in Germany! The staff is always super friendly! Plus it is not really an expensive resraurants, during lunch time they have an all you can eat buffet. I recommend it!

South Indian for a change :) - Edit
Mannheim definitely isn't lacking Indian restaurants. But most of them serve mostly vegetable curries with basmati rice. So this place is a welcome change, as it serves South Indian food. When reading the menu, I had no idea and no expectations at all. So I just asked the waiter what was vegan (it doesn't say that on the menu, but staff knows what is vegan by default or can be veganized). And the food I got was really awesome! It wasn't expensive either. So I will definitely return to try out other stuff on the menu.
