Lots of choices, flavours mediocre - Edit
I have been before when the food tasted better but tonight all dishes were pretty average. I had soba noodles with eggplant. Ok but not great. My partner had the Mee Goreng and didn’t like it at all. Left most of it.

Hearty breakfast - Edit
I had the Big Brekkie and it was both, very filling and a good combination of flavors. Their coffee is very good too.

Lovely Spot in St Kilda - Edit
Lovely vegan and veg cafe in St Kilda with loads of great options. The veggie burger was excellent quality and big too. My husband got the impossible burger but thought the veggie one looked better. The side of greens is nice too and the chips aren’t bad. The tables outside are in a nice location as lots of buzz and people watching too! Highly recommend! Service is quick too!

Airy and bright - Edit
Went here at 1pm, when both the breakfast and lunch menus were in effect.
Read moreOrdered the Mee Goreng, which was nicely cooked with tofu and crunchy beans. The sauce seemed to have a slight satay flavour, which I don't like and wasn't expecting, otherwise it was very good.
I'd been to the Richmond location when it was still open, and enjoyed the okonomiyaki, which they also have on the St Kilda menu.
The male staff member was very friendly, and I liked the airy bright aesthetic. It's in a great location and I would come back.

Amazing food - Edit
Finding this place after Luna Park was the best that could have happened to my friend and I. The food was amazing and it's so nice to have so many options to choose from. Even my friend who is not veggie loved it.

Unpleasant, rude customer service and overpriced - Edit
It was an unpleasant experience.
Read moreOne waitress seemed very snooty &judgy. Overall they just didn't seem accommodating. My gf is relatively new to being veggo and also her tastes are quite bland so she essentially she wanted a chik'n burger without the sauces, corriander, chilli and onion & was told it was not possible even though it's not like it was mixed in. I asked for her to just check it this was possible and I saw her laughing with other staff at the counter and one of the staff looked over at us which is absolutely disgusting. My gf was told in a judgy tone she couldn't have a satay burger without the satay sauce. But it's not like there was other burgers to choose from and other choices like tofu and jackfruit are very unfamiliar for her and she's not really a salad person. She likes tvp but not with the flavours they had. She then settled for chips. Admittedly because the chips came out first I ate some because I was hungry. As it wasn't a large bowl of chips she attempted to order another small bowl and was told they were now limiting chips to only side serves. I asked if she could have a side serve considering we had ordered 2 main meals and was told no. So my partner had eaten not even a full small bowl of chips. By this stage I was so uncomfortable with the way the waitress treated my gf, we left early without finishing my meal or ordering dessert.
Plenty of people don't like coriander, onion, chilli's or various sauces and wiat staff should be accommodating of different tastes and be flexible to extract something that can easily be removed so that someone can have a decent meal.
We went elsewhere to a nearby vegan cafe so that my gf could eat and both the food and customer service was so much better!!
We definitely won't be going back to Sister of Soul again.
2 stars is the minimal stars I could leave, I would leave zero stars if I could.
Cons: Customer service, Overpriced food and drinks and small serves, Unable to accommodate different tastes

Açai Bowl - Edit
Was craving an açai bowl and they delivered. Menu has so many good plant based options. Would give a 5 star but they added eggs onto their menu sometime last year which I find ridiculous and disappointing.

Ok - not plantbased - Edit
I had tofu scramble on toast which was okay. Bit bland and dry though. Bit weird that they advertise plantbased diet and sell vegan accessories such as tote bags and then serve eggs. Confusing.

Cool but spenny - Edit
So many great reviews so we thought we'd give it a shot.
Read moreUpon arrival the server was a bit rude and unfriendly so not a great start, but the other servers were all very nice and the service was quick.
The food was tasty, but rather small portions for the price of the dishes.
We were then charged an extra 20% surcharge which we were not expecting as we were not told this when ordering. We understand 10% but maybe they could mention the 20% upon arrival.
A busy place with a cool atmosphere.

Brunch spot - Edit
Has breakfast until 3pm. Found the big breakfast to be tasty. Not exceptional and a bit expensive but it was a public holiday. The service was friendly and quick. Husband had the French toast which he didn’t really like but seemed to be more my style. I thought that was delicious. I ended up with a slice of that. #Veganuary
