Homestyle Tasting Food

Occasionally I find myself downtown in the AM and I absolutely love the fact that there is a vegan restaurant open during breakfast, 7 days a week!

Food is really good; the taste reminds me of homestyle food; very warming.

Pros: Good food, Friendly staff

Cons: Limited seating, Parking lot is not for SaVeg customers, Could have more gluten-free options

My favorite veg-spot in Calgary!

I love it, and that's it. And if you love asian inspired cuisine you will too, I promise.

Best vegan benny!

SaVeg is such a lovely cafe with so many choices on the menu. Delicious food and fast, pleasant service. The ‘no eggs’ Benedict is the best things I’ve ever eaten. Seriously. I crave that dish. Could not recommend this cafe any more!!!

Pros: Food is delicious , Staff is very friendly , Vegan everything, large menu!

Cons: Small space (which is not necessarily a bad thing), Little bit difficult to get to (worth it)

SO DELICIOUS.

It's refreshing to go to a vegan cafe that isnt super unhealthy. Everything tastes very real and authentic. I would 100% recommend this cafe. I know of the owner rose from watching her youtube videos and she is very genuine and definitely worth supporting!

Amazing baked goods

Whst a great little place! Was confused for a minute trying to find the door, but you just go in the fitness centre entrance. The hot drinks and baking were amazing, especially the banana bread. Didn't get a meal this time but I'll certainly be back! Staff were friendly and super nice

Pros: Lots of options Vegan baking! Great service

delicious vegan goodness

SaVeg is my favourite go-to spot for quick and easy vegan food. A perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a reasonable price. Also if you’re looking to reduce your waste, SaVeg is more than happy to put your to-go food orders in your own containers.

So very, very good

On every visit here we have loved our food. The Eggs Benny is my husband’s favourite. For brunch I love the breakfast bagel. There is a wonderful crunch to the tofu! So satisfying. Also brilliant to have Phil and Sebastian coffee. The best in the City.

LOVE

SaVeg is my new favourite spot. Staff/ owner is super friendly and creates a pleasant atmosphere, and the food is so tasty and well-priced!

The breakfast delivers, the no-eggs benny is something I've started to crave! They also have really nice lemon infused water every day, its a nice touch.

I'd recommend this to anyone, its a great addition to the vegan scene in Calgary. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Pros: Food is super tasty , Easy to get to from train , Inexpensive

Cons: Wish they were open in the evenings

Great place!

Located inside Heavens Fitness means there’s sometimes parking in the lot (a bonus in beltline/downtown Calgary). The menu is a curated collection of mains, breakfasts, snacks, smoothies and hot drinks - with great prices! I was looking forward to trying this pace while visiting Calgary and got to grab a breakfast bagel and smoothie after my morning workout. It was simple and tasty. I hope I can come back and try one of the mains.

Pros: Good menu, Good prices, Parking

Cons: Plastic straws - hopefully they’ll switch soon

Fantastic!

We were using Calgary more or less for our trip to Banff - but couldn't pass on the opportunity to check out some of the vegan options Calgary has to offer - especially SaVeg since my better half has been following Rose on instagram.

Went twice - dinner, and breakfast the next day.

For dinner I had the Filet No Fish and she had the Japchae noodles. Both were great. Since going veg I haven't had a 'fish' sandwich I've liked - usually it's weird combinations trying to recreate a seafood-like flavor. This one was great - breaded/fried tofu with seaweed and seasoning to create the texture and flavor of a fish sandwich - so good! The noodles were good too - nice seasoning, veggies, and noodles were cooked properly for asian - good 'chew' to them.

Breakfast - I had the tofu scramble, and my other half the bagel sandwich. Again - both were great. Seasoning on the scramble was perfect - and my wife loved the sandwich (had a similar tofu patty to the filet no fish). I also had a soy latte - I think they use a local brand of espresso.

Meeting Rose was great - she was cooking when we went for dinner - her mom was cooking during breakfast. We had a fantastic conversation with Rose about our trip to Canada and vegan options in Calgary.

Overall we loved that it really was good homemade vegan food - quality ingredients and recipes (and after the worst experience in a restaurant we've ever had at Nourish in Banff we needed this).

Pros: Quality/Recipes, Prices, Friendliness of owners

Cons: Might take a few to find parking, Sort of have to know where it is

Once we found the door, it was awesome!

I went with my boyfriend on a Saturday. We had a little bit of trouble finding the door, since it is the same door as the gym that shares the building. It is a lovely space, with a cozy atmosphere. The staff were really friendly, and the service was very fast.

We ordered the bibimbap and japchae with dumplings to share, and we really enjoyed both. There wasn't a ton of selection for hot meals for lunch, but there were more options in terms of sandwiches, wraps, and beverages. Prices were reasonable considering how expensive other plant-based or vegetarian restaurants in similar areas are priced. I will definitely visit again to try more menu items.

Pros: Reasonable price, Delicious food

Sweet & spicy House Special & Japchae with dumplings!

Lunch at cozy SaVeg Cafe. Was really impressed. The House Special was amazing! Sweet potato and tofu with a sweet & spicy sauce was flavorful and filling! Also tried the Japchae with glass noodles & dumplings which was awesome. Great selection of Happy Belly Kombucha, coffees, and vegan lattes. Can't wait to taste everything on the menu!! Thanks SaVeg!

Tried this restaurant because I’m a subscriber to Rose’s channel, and also a recommendation from her brother brought me to this place. Plenty good eats and different varieties. I’d eat here every day if I could

Delicious!

We were in for lunch with my 3 year old son the other day. We had the no fish burger, which my son devoured, the bibimbap, which I devoured, the sweet chilli tofu wrap, which my friend devoured and we all had a chunky monkey smoothie... amazing!! Food was fast, service was excellent and we will most definitely be back! Highly recommend 😊

Cutest Lil Cafe

I've never had Korean food before but it was awesome! We ordered the glass noodles (japchae) and the house special. It was all delicious. Finished it off with fresh banana bread still warm from the oven. Thank you Rose & Mama!
