Serves meat, vegan options available. Aside from the meat stuff, veg includes a falafel plate, hummus, zatar pizza (has cheese), salads, lentil soup, and a couple others. Baklava is made without butter though maybe uses honey. Next door is a specialty grocery store. Note: MLK turns into Tunnel. REPORTED CLOSED, JULY 2016.

nice place to eat

Living the Houma/Thibodaux area and being vegan is tough for foodies. Sarah's offers wonderful authentic Mediterranean cuisine and a quirky, if not surprising, atmosphere.
The falafels are fabulous, as is the tahini, hummus and Arabic salad that accompany them. The Fattoush salad is tasty when ordered with a side of their tahini (I'm a huge tahini fan;). I highly recommend their Pickles & Olives appetizer for a burst of flavor, as well as the Zatar pizza (but remember to order without cheese). There are a few other items for a vegan to choose from, such as their warm & comforting lentil soup or Baba Ganouj.
There is a grocery in the same building where you can find specialty ingredients and a store keeper who is eager to answer all your questions. Their inventory grows with each visit. I visit after eating almost every time.

Pros: vegan options are yummy, friendly & clean, specialty grocery

Cons: steak night
