Amazing vegan choices! - Edit
There is a seperate vegan menu featuring many starters, mains and desserts. I had the tofish and chips for my main, and the churros for dessert😋
Read moreThe tofish was super tasty! The churros were a little bland but the chocolate sauce made up for it! Super friendly staff, would definitely recommend!

Separate vegan menu - Edit
I noticed there was a vegan menu on the website so asked for that. There were 3 starters, 4 mains and 3 desserts so a good choice and when they brought the menus back for dessert the server remembered I was vegan and brought the vegan menu. The celeriac main was lovely. I was excited for the black forest gateau but it was really just a kind of dense cake. Nice though. It's a little pricey but in a great location with dog friendly areas and the service was good despite it being a very busy day. Wine list was marked clearly with veg and vegan options.

Great vegan fish & chips! - Edit
Separate vegan menu available with several options. The ‘tofish’ and chips were really good, and came with tartare sauce which was a nice touch as you wouldn’t often get a vegan version. I’d definitely come back!

Not a great choice for veggies and even worse for vegans. The restaurant itself is nice and airy with outdoor seating also available. Sadly options are very limited for non meat eaters with one non meat choice on each of the menu sections. Vegan dishes are limited to vegetarian options 'made vegan'. Although they did have vegan jaffa cake, non dairy milk & hot chocolate available.
Read moreI was only calling in for cuppa, ordered a hot chocolate with oak milk and then saw the vegan Jaffa cake which looked great and tasted even better.
Given the lack of choice for vegans, this isn't somewhere I would choose to come for a meal.

There were a couple of choices for ‘nibbles’, but no vegan starters. Two not very interesting vegan option mains (ie vegetarian with dairy removed). The beetroot gnocchi was ok but nothing special. One vegan dessert.

Vegan stay - Edit
I booked this place, and my husband and I stayed for six nights (breakfast included). Five nights we had dinner in the restaurant. Two nights I chose vegan options from the menu, the last three nights the chef made me a different vegan meal (I’ve not eaten the same meal twice). The staff and team have been amazing and supportive. Nothing has been too much trouble. I’ve had vegan breakfast every day, and three course vegan meals in the evening. You just have to ask!

I was concerned after I saw the review about them not being able to accommodate for vegans. However they had a few starter/side options and were happy to adapt a main to make it suitable for vegans too (this was also stated on the menu). Yes, more options would be great, but what I had was really lovely.

Despite information on web there were NO vegan options and no effort to accommodate us. Broccoli salad and chips wasn’t meal.
