Fabulous Vegan Breakfast & Beverages! - Edit
Cafe Notos is a popular contemporary cafe and is well-situated on Rhosneigr High Street. They serve breakfast and lunch and are also a great spot to enjoy a coffee and along with a vegan sweet treat.
Read moreThe cafe has a huge selection of beverages, most of which could be made vegan, with vegan options including smoothies, milkshakes, protein smoothies, protein milkshakes, frozen juices, health drinks, coffees, loose-leaf teas, iced teas, iced coffees and matchas. They also have a large range of cakes and sweet pastries, and at the time of visiting, five of them were vegan, although they were unlabelled. The vegan options were a Fruit & Chocolate Flapjack, Cinnamon Roll, Lemon Drizzle Swirl, Hazelnut Pain Au Chocolat, and an Almond Croissant. I recognised the brand of pastries from other eateries as vegan options and can vouch that they're incredibly tasty!
The breakfast menu seemed to have more vegan options than the lunch menu. The lunch options included Singapore Noodle Bowl, Sing Curry Loaded Fries, Vegan Sausage Roll & Fries. There was also a notice on the lunch menu stating there were vegan health bowls and sandwiches available. The breakfast menu during my visit included:
- Notos Granola
- Berry Yogurt Bowl
- Sweet Pancakes
- Toasted Bloomer with Spread
- Tofu on Toast
- Avacado on Sourdough
- Heavenly Vegan Breakfast
- Vegan Breakfast Bap
I arrived immediately after breakfast began (08:30), and the small cafe was full within half an hour of arriving. To drink, I had an Iced Pistachio Latte with Oat Milk, and it was honestly the best iced coffee I've ever had. Wanting something substantial to eat, I went for the Heavenly Vegan, and that too was one of the best vegan breakfasts I've had at a non-vegan establishment. The tomatoes were not quite as grilled as I'd like them, and for the price (£14.50) I would have appreciated another mushroom, but the tiger bread was incredibly delicious, and the kale was so amazing that I'd love to use it as evidence against all the people who claim kale is 'disgusting'.
This cafe is highly recommended!
Please Note: Cafe Notos is walks ins only and does not accept cash. The cafe also runs events and themed evenings such as Tapas Night, Burger Night, Mini Markets, and Supper Clubs, all of which have vegan options.
Pros: Labelled Vegan Options, Excellent Breakfast, Nice Atmosphere, Free WiFi, Dog Friendly, Food & Drink Well Presented, Good Coffee
Cons: Vegan Cakes Not Labelled

Tasty but a little pricy - Edit
Fab food options but I felt my salad was overpriced. £14 for a kale salad which left me feeling hungry. My partner had the pie and chips option, the vegan sausage roll was sold out so they offered a sausage bap instead, this came with lots of chips and was better value at £10. The hot chocolate with oat milk was very good, shame about the 50p extra for oat milk

Could be great - Edit
Generally good ethos around locally sourcing ingredients and the vibe of the cafe is nice and stylish. Sadly the staff didn’t seem to fully understand that gluten free and vegan are different things and the cakes weren’t labelled as such. This left me doubting whether the cake I bought was actually vegan or not. I also find it very disappointing in places with an environmental focus when you have to pay extra to have oat milk in your coffee. (Charged more for making the more sustainable choice in the long run). I can shrug off 10-20p more for oat milk but here it was considerably more. The vegan breakfast also seems poor value for money compared to some other cafes in north wales. This place does have a lot of potential though I’ve sadly been disappointed both times I’ve tried it.

A lovely little cafe with relax vibes - Edit
A lovely new cafe in the village. Drawn to it by their ethos, zero waste, healthy food sourced from local providers and care for the environment too. Plus it’s great it is dog friendly too. My favourite is the Green Boost Smoothie and the Poke Bowl.
