Excellent brunch! - Edit
Delicious and filling brunch in a traditional market hall. Hummus, freshly baked bread and the stew were awesome.

Exceptional tasty food. - Edit
We shared the big brunch option (brunch is available only on saturdays). And for two people its not too much food but enough to not be hungry anymore. But most important: The food was exceptionally tasty! Would go there anytime again!

Cons: Food could be more for the price.

Delicious food in cool old food hall - Edit
We had the hot dish of the day, a veggie and tofu curry with roasted cashews and spiced basmati. The portion size was perfect and the flavors were great.

Tasty and not that expensive - Edit
We could choose between a warm meal, a salad and a soup. We chose the warm meal which was delicious. Bread, coffee, and tea are included in the price, for us 12€ per person.

Great vegan food - Edit
Great vegan food in the heart of Turku for a resonable price! The menu changes day-to-day, the veggies are locally sourced and everything is 100% vegan! We had burgers and fries with a delicious mayo dip for lunch (12€ each, coffee included). Definitely would go again!

Something good sometimes - Edit
Some days they have one option without cilantro (fresh coriander/korianteri), usually none. As it is very strong taste that makes me and many people vomit, I want to warn everyone about this. If you enjoy cilantro, this is definitely your place.

Excellent meal - Edit
2 choices every day: daily special or salad, includes bread and a coffee. There is always vegan option and you can get your meal gluten free. Last summer we had excellent burgers here, today it was an open faces tortilla.

Always delicious - Edit
The lunch is very tasty. I had a simple meal of couscous, marinated tofu and veggies with the most delicious hummus and garlic mayo. Always something vegan to eat.

Really good - Edit
The brunch they serve is heavenly and the burgers are outstanding, the food court is cozy but sometimes a bit crowded and that is a minus, but the food definitely deserves five stars.

Hidden gem - Edit
After walking around Turku in search for a good vegan meal with no satisfying result, I was lucky to discover Turku Markethall. The place has many vegetarian restaraunts, but the best for me was clearly Roots Kitchen. I was also lucky to find it on a Wednesday - apparently they have Vegan Wednesdays there. Very tasty food and friendly staff. The only thing is that you have to ask for the staff to translate the menu in English if you don't speak Finnish.

Amazing lunch! - Edit
Very good, healthy and tasty lunch. Menu changes everyday and usually they offer a soup, salad and a warm meal that you can choose from. Been there twice and would recommend to anyone looking for delicious, quite affordable (9-10 euros) priced meal. I will definitely come back again while in Turku!!

Average - Edit
We had lunch here during our brief visit to Turku. Out of the three items on the menu, two were vegan and we ordered both of them to share. One was a curry and the other an Asian inspired salad. Portions were good. Bread and hummus or butter was included as well. But I really didn't find the food all that great. The hummus was a little off. The curry tasted flat and the rice underneath was all mush. The salad was on the bland side and could use more aromatics. Maybe it was an off day? I would've liked to give it another try, but I didn't have time the next day. This is a 3 for me.

great brunch - Edit
I've only been here for a brunch two times. But both times I had excellent food. It's popular for brunch, so it might be crowded and you might have to wait half an hour for your food. Best coffee in town!

Delicious lunch restaurant - Edit
This is so good lunch restaurant in Turku's market hall, middle of the city! Main food are mostly "orient vibe", but this place serves also burgers, tortillas etc. There is also soups and salads on offer. Wednesdays are usually "vegan wednesday", but it's possible to get vegan food also on other days. Brunch is available on satudays. Food menu chance every week. Staff is ok, sometimes a little bit busy.

get your vegan butts here now! - Edit
OMG this was an amazing meal!!! So delicious. I had a lentil curry with rice, salad, broccoli. The Broccoli was cooked with witchcraft... Of the best kind; never tasted anything like it... So so good! You get bread with your meal and this gorgeous pea purée style dip and free water, tea / coffee. Worth a trip to Turku just for this place. Staff are friendly, translated the menu, really lovely and the market hall is a great environment. Seek it out and enjoy

Delicious And A Lovely Place To Eat - Edit
Walked into the gorgeous market hall and found Roots Kitchen really easily near the back. Friendly staff translated the daily special which was lentil curry with roasted squash on a bed of pearl barley. Topped with yoghurt, and shredded carrot and courgette. It was so delicious, warming and filling. Complimentary water, tea and coffee it.

I would definitely eat here again! My meal cost €9.20 and came with bread.
