I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I love to travel and HappyCow keeps me fed and healthy, this is a great network for nomadic veggies and vegans.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Nearly all of Asia, from the middle East to Japan, Siberian to Indonesia > incredible! Also Australia and NZ, and bits of Europe and Canada. Would love to do Iran and central Asia, and the Americas.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Masala Dosa, Saag Paneer, Channa Masala..most veggie Indian food to be honest! Middle Eastern mezze too.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Fragrant Heart, Miranda Emmerson. a vegetarian living in China and travelling around Asia: romance and recipes. Veggistan, Sally Butcher. Delicious vegetarian middle eastern recipes. World Food Cafe, Chris and Carolyn Caldicott. And oldie but a goodie of world recipes and wonderful travel photos.
