Enjoyed their vegan rice wrap!

They have indeed one vegan option, but I really enjoyed their rice wrap. It’s very nice for breakfast or lunch. When we were there there was somebody who spoke English perfectly and was very kind.

Pros: Good taste, Good location

Limited menu - snack only

Very limited menu. Only one vegan option but only like 5 options on the whole menu. Server was very nice and asked about allergies but could speak no English.

Porcini rice cake was tasty and a very cute cafe overall.

Pros: Clear English menu, Fairly cheap

Cons: Few vegan options, Couldn’t speak English

Delicious snack!

The food was absolutely delicious. I had a porcini rice wrap and it was super flavorful and a great snack. If I wanted to have a meal I would buy two but one was good enough for a snack!
It was nice that everything was labeled if there was a vegan or vegetarian option. Workers were knowledgeable and helpful!

Pros: Vegan options

Delicious vegan options

It was wonderful to have a real vegan option on holiday in Lijiang. I had the speciality rice wrap, fig puer tea, and quinoa porridge.

Pros: Delicious , Unique

Cons: Shop is small and can be busy.

Hipster place for drink lovers

Nice and cozy place, good for a drink and a snack, but not for a full meal.

Pros: Vegan wraps, Tasty pine nut milk!

Cons: Menu is not very comfortably made, Too few options

Suitable for a vegan snack

Clearly labeled vegan options.

Friendly, English language speaking, informative staff.

The savoury rice wraps are adequate in size and adequate in flavour.

The heirloom thin cut truffle oil crispy potatoes are amazing.

Inexpensive considering the ingredients are mostly organic, local and free from additives.

Pros: Convenient for vegan snack

Cons: Plastic cups

Something Different

Staying in Lijiang I wasn't expecting much but we found Rice Slurp easily enough right in the heart of the old town. The staff were really friendly, the girl who served us spoke excellent English and everything was in Chinese & English. We had the two vegan options, rice pancakes one with a spicy savoury flavour, the other a sweeter more dessert type option. We also had the freshly made crisps with truffle oil & a hot drink of pine nut milk which was very tasty. A great little find when there's limited choice in the area. Just down from here we found a cafe bar with an Oatly sign so I got my coffee fix sorted.

Pros: Tasty and different, Inexpensive, Lovely staff

Cons: Serves meat

Good if you are hungry and nearby

If you are hungry and there is nothing else around, it is a good stop for a hearty snack, but it is not a meal. The wrap with peanuts was tasty, but even when you have a drink inside, they serve you in a plastic cup - for which I suggested them to use regular mugs or glasses. We ended up roaming around looking for veggies afterwards.

Pros: Tasty, Convenient wrap to-go, English menu, vegan labels

Cons: Plastic cups, Not cheap

Tasty snack

We had some of the wraps here, both the savoury and sweet were decent quality but not exceptional. The truffle oil chips were also quite good. We got a little vial of green lentils as a complimentary souvenir which was a nice touch.

The girl behind the counter didn't speak English but we worked everything out quite quickly because we could compare with the Chinese menu.

Pros: calories listed on menu, english menus

Cons: small portions

Tasty but nothing special

By the way the menu has changed unfortunately. It taste good but not value for money. Menu is English and vegan vegetarian gluten-free friendly. Good for those people like as we.

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive , Not special

expensive place - go for a drink or snack not lunch!

Good that this place marks vegan options on the menu. The pine nut milk was very rich and tasty, definitely worth a try. Vegan snacks are the sweet rose rice cake or some home made crisps without the cheese- both a tasty snack but very pricey for what they are. Staff are lovely

Had one of the best vegan bites of China in there

I had one of my best food experiences in China in that little restaurant. The organic sweet rose rice cake was so superb I had to order a second one. There wasn’t much choice but I was glad to be able to eat some vegan food in China.

Pros: Clearly states ingredients , Indicates vegetarian and vegan food, Great taste

Cons: Not much room to sit, Not much choice
