Comfort food

Drunken noodles with tofu. Pineapple curry with tofu. Can request so many dishes here to be vegan but you MUST let your waiter know

Glass noodles

Glad i followed someone else’s recommendation on here—Insanely good glass noodles with fried tofu & vegetables. And the fried rice is noted as “able to be made vegan.” My friend’s vegetable soup with tofu also looked tasty. Will definitely be back!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Clearly labeled vegan items, Almost anything can be made vegan

Glass noodles, vegetables and fried tofu.

I've always adored glass noodles and I've decided to avoid eating rice due to arsenic so I was happy to see this on the menu. I was given the choice of soft tofu or fried tofu, I opted for the fried. I found the fried tofu a bit dry and spongy but otherwise the food was very tasty especially after I added some extra spicy sauce. I would definitely order it again. The portion was generous, I had some leftover for later. The restaurant has several vegan options and many things that can be made vegan.

Pros: Many vegan options

Wow! Anything by Mama

I've been a big fan of Ramen by Mama next door, and Rice by Mama down the street, but Rice by Mama 2 is the lovechild of both with the best of the best and then some! Almost everything can be veganized, so get the Kao Soi (even without extra spice, the curry itself has a kick!) I keep going back and ordering different things because it's ALL good.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Super friendly staff, Great portion sizes

Yummy!!!!

Quite good! First time the pad Thai was good. Worth mentioning that our second time ordering there the pad Thai was too sweet and clumpy. Coconut soup is delish!!! It’s not my favorite Thai restaurant but I’d definitely return. I like the various options for add-ons.

Love this place

Cute restaurant in downtown Ventura with amazing food. Almost everything in the menu can be vegamized.

We got the pad Thai with tofu and veggies which was super tasty. The cashew veggie stir fry was perfectly seasoned and the texture was great. The pineapple curry hit the spot and the Tom yum was just as good as the best non-vegan option. I didn’t care for the orange chicken too much although my 3 donning companions finished it so they must have liked it. Four people, 4 dishes, 3 Thai teas and dessert for $90. A little on the high side but worth it.

Good Find

We were in Ventura for the first time on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. We were walking on Main Street at lunch time and found most of the restaurants to be noisy. Mamas was spacious and quiet and inviting. We were pleasantly surprised that they had a lunch special that included a vegan eggroll and soup along with our entrée. The fried tofu was delicious. We both very much enjoyed our meal.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Tasty food, In the heart of downtown with good prices
