Vegan Nagasaki Staples - Edit
Pavé is ANA Crowne Plaza's in-house restaurant that's open throughout the day and serves a variety of Japanese and western dishes in a very comfortable setting.
Read moreIt's also known as one of the few (and maybe only?) locations in town to order the famous Nagasaki Champon that's fully plant-based. On the menu, they advertise this and its sister dish of Sara Udon (crispy noodles similar to Cantonese pan-fried noodles) with a "healthy" variant, which removes common allergens and all animal products. SOLD!
I got to enjoy both of these dishes during my time in Nagasaki and was floored with how delicious both of them ended up being. The champon reminded me of what I used to eat years ago and really stuck the landing. Both of these Chinese-derived dishes left me satisfied and thankful that I chose to stay somewhere that offered plant-based versions.
Highly recommend for any vegetarians/vegans/plant-based curious folks or if you have someone in your group that has these dietary needs.

Toruko rice - Edit
They have plant based Toruko rice on the menu, I asked the waiter to confirm and she said it is vegan. The spaghetti is good, the curry and cutlet (I think it’s soy based? Tasted kinda like tofu) is alright but I’m not the biggest fan of Japanese curry.

Solid local food - Edit
The Saraudon doesn’t skimp on flavor or veggies. It’s a great way to experience good local cuisine. Plus they serve a local green that’s definitely worth checking out.

Let's try Nagasaki's famous dishes - Edit
It's a hotel restaurant right on the bay of Nagasaki with a nice view. It's near the famous Oura Cathedral and some cute little museums as well so you can do some sightseeing along with your lunch. While there is a buffet (not vegan), you can also do an ala carte menu which has two Nagasaki famous dishes: Nagasaki Champon and Sara Udon.

Vegan Nagasaki Champon and Sara Udon - Edit
If you are coming to Nagasaki, this restaurant is recommended. Here you can eat vegan Nagasaki Champon and Sara Udon. Nagasaki Champon is a noodle dish similar to ramen, and you can choose between thick noodles or thin noodles. Sara Udon is a dish similar to hard yakisoba, and both are very delicious. It is located right in the middle of the tourist area, so it is very accessible. The vegan menu is on the grand menu, so you can eat it without making a reservation.
