Was first place in Colombia w/Beyond Burger, but no longer has it - Edit
Indoor/Outdoor restaurant right next to Parque de los Novios and Calle 19 - the center of nightlife and pedestrian life in the old colonial downtown of Santa Marta. Great place to sit outside for people watching. In daytime heat, you can go inside with air conditioning (but not too cold).
Read moreThis restaurant was the first in Colombia to feature the Beyond Burger, starting at the end of December 2019 -- and I one of the first to enjoy it there. At COP39,000 pesos (maybe US $11 - to $12 depending upon exchange rate), it was close to North American prices, but if you've missed that kind of veggie burger taste while in Colombia, its a great opportunity to splurge (most veggie burgers in restaurants in Colombia are lentil-based, so something non-lentil based is a welcome change).
HOWEVER THEY NO LONGER HAVE THE BEYOND BURGER. I went there tonight May 25, 2024 and they no longer have it. Only their mushroom burger is vegetarian but not vegan. And no more Beyond Burger. Bummer

They do serve the Beyond Burger, but the bun is not vegan and you have to make sure you tell them not to put the cheese on it and specify that the mayo-based sauce is not put on there. The usually don't have the vegan sausage option, even if it is on the menu. If you're meticulous with your order and double check before eating, you should be fine. The place is nice with friendly staff and a great location for people watching!

Ruhiges Ambiente mit gutem Essen - Edit
Das besondere an diesem Restaurant ist für mich eindeutig das ruhige Ambiente. Während alle anderen Restaurants im Zentrum dich förmlich überreden ins Restaurant zu gehen, hat dieses Restaurant Türsteher und einen ruhigen Innenraum. Das vegane Angebot war nicht groß, dafür hatten sie den Beyond Meat Burger, den ich sonst in Santa Marta nirgends gesehen hat. Dieser hat sehr gut geschmeckt und ist eine Empfehlung absolut wert.

Nice atmosphere, tad disappointing - Edit
I had read the reviews for this restaurant and was looking forward to a nice lunch, however, they didn’t have the Beyond Burger available (maybe call ahead for those interested?). I ordered the Portabello burger, which was essentially cut mushrooms on a burger bun with the usual add-ons. The Lemonade Maracuya was delicious, however. Made fresh!

Tastey, friendly, pricey and small - Edit
Had the cravings for a vegan burger. Tried the portabello burger (22cop) with no cheese or onion. Added fries which costs extra (5 cop). Tastey but not super burgery as the mushies are all sliced up, more like a mushroom roll and it was quite plain without the cheese or onion.
Read moreEnded up getting the beyond burger as well (again no onion or cheese), $42 cop. I love the beyond burger taste 😍 but again quite small and plain, had half a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato and not much sauce.
Despite being on the small and plain side both were tasty and was really nice to find some vegan comfort food in Santa Marta. Staff were nice and understood what vegan is.
They have 3 burgers that can be vegan if you ask no cheese and specify vegan.
