Best vegan place in San Jose - Edit
It’s not cheap (but nothing it’s actually cheap in San José, let’s agree on it). However if you want vegan food of quality, especially to do a brunch, this your place. I went there twice, knowing that I’ll be out of there happy! Everything delicious and not obvious vegan food.

Had a wonderful lunch here! As usual it was difficult to decide because a full vegan menu is a luxury. I went with the pupusas which were delicious; first time I’ve seen a vegan chicharron! Desserts were delicious so save room or take some to go.

A Standout Vegan Spot in a Limited Area 👏 - Edit
PURALMA Vegan Bakery really stands out, especially in an area where there aren’t many vegan options. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help me customize a burrito that wasn’t even on the menu. There was a slight language barrier at first, but someone who spoke good English stepped in and made everything easy.
Read moreThe custom burrito with scrambled tofu, rice, beans, pico, avocado and chipotle sauce was really good, and their homemade hot sauce is a must—it brings out so much flavor. We also tried the avocado toast, which was solid, and the fries were just as good.
Overall, great service and flavorful food. Definitely recommend, especially if you’re looking for vegan options in the area.

This Place was by far one of our favourite spots during our stay in Latin America. The owner (at least I think she was the owner) was really nice Person and we Even got Takeaway for our flight. We loved this place and we would always come back of we will be ever in San José again! We shared the French Toast and the Omelette which were Great and I Tool the asian Bowl with me with the Tofufish which was also amazing!

This all vegan Cafe was amazing. We had the "egg" muffin, the tiramisu, and lovely coffees but it took ages to decide due to the wide range of choices.

The muffin is also served with a bowl of fruits with yogurt, peanut butter, granola, and chia seeds so it was good value for money.

Read moreI had the Puralma “egg” muffin and it was delicioussss. It was almost like two meals in one, since it came with a small bowl of fruit salad and granola. The muffin was stacked with “egg”, a vegan sausage patty, cheese, tomato, greens and sauce, with a perfectly crispy fluffy hash brown on the side. Loved it 👌🏼

🌯Puralma est bien plus qu'une boulangerie, en proposant une véritable carte de restaurant. La carte correspond plutôt au format brunch. La plupart des plats sont des spécialités locales et de qualité.

I visited PURALMA a couple of times while visiting San José. I tried the pupusas on one occasion (very yummy) and a smoothie bowl on my second visit which was delicious and chockablock full of goodness. I also bought some items to go; the raw snickers bar (amazing!) and the empanadas which were also yummy. The service was excellent too.
