Vegetarian cafe with fab vegan breakfast option

We had a vegan breakfast, consisting of 2 smokey vegan sausages, Tomatos, mushrooms, toast and beans. Prices good and the girls serving were lovely. There were also vegan cakes available, plant milks and spread.

Pros: Vegan cakes, the sausages

Cons: I would of like hash browns as an option.

Very tasty food and great service

We are staying in the area visiting relatives and found Pulse Cafe after exploring the area, we had the Veg Curry and Rissotto and both dishes had great taste and good sized portions. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and will definitely visit again before we return to the Philippines.
Look forward to trying the award winning breakfast !!!!

Pros: Good options with specials can customise for taste

Really disappointed

Made a reasonable trip to Pulse Cafe with my family and really wish we hadn’t. The food was mediocre, service was lovely, but the place just isn’t cut out for vegans (which seems odd, given other reviews). Pulse really hasn’t kept up with the times. Not even offering vegan cheese alternatives where cheese is stated on the menu. Most local pubs/restaurants have vegan cheese in these days, let alone a vegetarian restaurant who claims to cater well for vegans.

Definitely wouldn’t return, but if you’re nearby, by all means give it a try, maybe you’ll enjoy it. I’d definitely take my business elsewhere though until the owner wakes up and realises its 2019 and the world has moved on

Pros: Some vegan options

Cons: Caters poorly for vegans , Limited options , Mediocre food

Amazing vegan options!

A delightful place with brilliant vegan options; I've got a brownie and a flapjack for later 😍

I strongly urge folks to go, it's a treasure and the owner, Paul, even runs a "suspended drinks and food" where you can buy a coffee or a meal for someone who can't afford it. Just beautiful!

Pros: LOADS of vegan options and vegan cake, Very generous owner

great little cafe

We really enjoyed our visit here and found the food tasty and healthy. They serve generous portions so go hungry. There is a comprehensive set menu and a specials board. There are lots of vegan options.
The area on the ground floor is cosy and welcoming with an open kitchen. The are 2 spacious rooms upstairs, both with large windows and lovely views. One is set up for children with high chairs and toys. The toilets are spotless.
Will definitely be visiting again to try their prize winning g breakfast.

Pros: delicious food, healthy options for children and g

Cons: Serve a larger selection of milks besides cow and

lovely little cafe with lots of vegan options

I have been to pulse many times and have always been impressed with the variety and standard of vegan food. All coffees can be ordered with soya milk and there are lots of menu items and cakes that are vegan to be enjoyed. The staff are lovely and the local art gives the place a lovely atmosphere. There is also a lot of gluten free options even with the cake. Definitely go here if you are nearby

Pros: value for money , lots of vegan options , lots of gluten free options

Friendly

This place has the feel of a community cafe/juice bar. It has an appeal to a very wide range of customers from the young mums and toddlers to the artistic community and, like myself, walkers.

They serve healthy and wholesome vegetarian and vegan food that is filling with quite a wide choice of vegan cakes. It was a great find for me on my holiday in the Peak District and I will be going there again in the near future when catching the train up the Hope Valley from New Mills.

Pros: Award winning vegetarian breakfast

Cons: No garnish with main course

Lovely little Veggie Cafe.

Surprised to find a vegetarian cafe hidden away in New Mills. A friend I was visiting took me here for a lovely lunch. Small but light and airy inside. Not many vegan options on the menu for grown ups ( I think 3 of the kids options were) but they were happy to change items as the sandwiches are made fresh in front of you. My sandwich was delicious and best of all there was Swedish glace ice cream for pudding.

Pros: Only veggie eatery for miles., Vegan children's options, Vegan Ice cream

Cons: Vegan items not clearly marked on the menu, Small

Nice cakes and friendly staff

Been here a few times for cake and a brew. The chocolate brownie and coconut cake were vegan on my last visit, and they have soya milk. I found the mains uninspiring and a bit bland.

Pros: Location, Vegan cakes, Nice, airy space with natural light

Cons: Very short opening hours, Disappointing main courses

Pleasant little cafe, nothing earth-shattering!

Nice modern environment with clean seating area, quite friendly service, staff able to explain which things were vegan (as not marked on the menu board).
Food was ok but not exciting. Pasta salad didn't have any beans or tofu and not much flavour in the dressing, leek and potato soup with bread was ok and they had vegan marg for the bread, coconut cake was quite nice and moist.

Pros: Some vegan options, Seats to eat in, OK.

Cons: All a bit dull and bland really.
