Great menu - Edit
I came here with my husband, 2 young kids and non-vegan parents - the food was outstanding. We had the loaded potato skins, spicy “duck” pizza (wow this was SOOO good), the Wellington burger (also really good). My kids shared the Carbonara which they loved, I had a taste and have to say if you crave this flavour it really tasted similar to a non-vegan version. The only thing I didn’t love was the Apple Crumble, it was a baked apple with crumble on top/in between. I’m a crumble addict so hence the disappointment on that one. Overall a great restaurant I would definitely come back to next time in Hong Kong and excellent to bring non-vegan friends to!

All vegan delight - Edit
One of our regular places for a smart vegan meal, with vegans and non vegans. It’s spacious (two separate areas and private dining room) and comfortable, in Soho. Be prepared to spend HKD300 per person (HKD400 if you want drinks).
Read moreFairly extensive menu: soups, pastas, pizzas, and creative and unique dishes (some Asian inspired). Over many visits, have worked my way through much of the menu although they are always adding new dishes.
Appetisers
- Vegan Tuna Tartar - refreshing and tangy from the mango, avocado, tomato combo and presented beautifully
- Cauliflower Cake - liked the tender soft filling of the cakes and bit of crunch. A good sharing dish as served in three decent sized "cakes"
- Spicy tom yum soup - all the right flavours
- Buffalo cauliflower wings - batter is amazing, texture of cauliflower is perfect with a nice sweet and sticky sauce
- Poutine - chips with yummy thick gravy, big portion! Comfort food at its best.
- Seared Watermelon Steak - something creative, it’s warm, good combo with the pine nuts and rocket. Don’t try it expecting steak but appreciate the flavours and texture
Mains
- African Hedgehog Mushroom - bit expensive, but it was so good! Amazing texture in a creamy coconut sauce
- Vegan Crab Burger - good if you feel like a heavier option. Nice taste of the coleslaw and crispy patty. Order the charcoal bun for something different!
- Mushroom Risotto - Decent staple if you’re in the mood for risotto.
- Wellington Beyond Burger Steak - Fantastic. I rly enjoyed this including the pastry, filling, gravy, and red cabbage and mash sides. Our friend couldn’t eat this as it smelt and tasted too much like meat for her!!
- Teriyaki soba noodle dish - warm soba noodles, with delicious tofu, squash, broccoli and green beans, topped with sesame seeds and seaweed strips. Nicely balanced and flavoured dish.
Desserts
- Oat Tiramisu - so good and close to the real thing with the flavours of coffee and rum, and the thick and rich texture of mascarpone via oat cream.
- Apple crumble - it’s ok but as someone who grew up loving this dish, I need more/thicker crumble and ideally would be served with custard
- Profiteroles - the pastry here was a bit too crispy and crunchy rather than soft as expected, although the cream was nice and I liked the unique presentation.
Good selection of tasty vegan wines and sangria

Best vegan food in Hong Kong - Edit
Many delicious choices. The pizzas are great as well as the entrees. The burgers and desserts are good but not as tasty as the rest though. All in all my favourite place for vegan food in HK

This hidden gem is absolutely amazing. Pop Vegan is located above another non-vegan friendly restaurant so it can be tricky to find. It’s worth the adventure to find though! Prices are good, portions big, and food tastes great.
Read moreI ordered the “duck” pizza. It was delicious, and I would order it again and again. Would love to go back someday if I’m in HK again.

Time for dessert - Edit
I ordered Lemon Curd and Coconut Whipped Cream Tart, and Apple Crumble.
Read moreFor the tart, the white layer (coconut whipped cream) was tasty. The yellow layer (lemon curd) was even more tasty! But the tart crust was not as crispy as I expected. The apple crumble was also delicious.
I enjoyed the desserts there.

Best vegan restaurant with the best variety - Edit
Great variety, innovative dishes like 'peking duck pizza' made with soy meat and bean curd sheets.
Read moreVegan food usually isn't very creative, so it was a pleasant surprise that this place has plenty to choose from. My other favourite is deep fried avocado, must try!
Spacious, right in the centre of Soho, for the price you pay, you feel like you are in a restaurant, getting table service, so I'm willing to pay a bit more for the full experience.
It is located on 1st Floor, it is getting popular so reservation is advised. Except you go after rush hours.
Friendly staff and tasty vegan food, nothing to complain about, really.
Pros: Creative delicious Vegan dishes, Spacious, Price match with dine in experience

Incredible - Edit
Such an amazing concept! Buffet savoury and sweet pizza, all vegan! So many different varieties of toppings, including: sweetcorn, aubergine, peppers, mushroom, spinach, tomatoes, chillies, vegan sausage, chicken, beef and salami. The soya based cheeses were creamy and moorish, very happy with the variety and endless servings until you say you're done. The sweet includes bananas, chocolate, strawberries, lime and coconut. The staff were all super friendly, accomodating and speedy!

Expensive but good - Edit
I've been here twice and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. The first time I had the peking duck pizza which was very unique and tasty. The second time I had the Hoi Nam chicken which again was delicious. The apple crumble for dessert was great too. Service may not be as fast as some other restaurants, but I don't really mind. The restaurant is not that big so it's pretty nice and cosy.

it depends on what you order! - Edit
I really failed this time on taking photos, because we were STARVING... the food took a while to arrive, but there was a *large* group that managed to slip in their order before ours.
Read moreFirst thing we noticed - the Set Lunch is more expensive than the regular menu... so it's not really a deal... you might save $10.
So we had:
- Cauliflower Steak: the portion is fine; the mash underneath with almonds is nice to have that crunch. though my non-vegan companion said "it tastes like cauliflower with some spices" and preferred the one at Maison Libinaise; so it could be fixed if they marinated it in a wet rub.
- Lentil Falafel burger: there are 2 types of cheezes, I suspect 1 is the Daiya Provolone, which I normally don't like but it's ok when it's melted. the texture of the patty is a bit soft and not crispy, but still tasty. it comes with a salad + chips (which were good), quite a fair portion. I prefer the Falafel burger at Leaves (Beef) & Liberty though, it has a better texture and the fixins' are paired better. soft on soft was not great.
- Smoked Vegan Tuna Salad: my friend was really disappointed with the portion of this, especially because it was a similar price range to the other 2 dishes (128 vs 138/148), the expectation was that it would be more than a "starter" size. he said it was "bland", but neither of us tried it (since we didn't want to take away from his small portion...). he ended up eating the sides off our 2 plates so we didn't want to make a fuss about it...
if I would rate place this solely on my dish, I'd give it about a 3.5... so I'll make it a 3 because that tuna salad is unfortunate. it would've helped a lot if the staff mentioned something about the size... because it is definitely not for a full-sized adult.
the menu also seems to have changed a lot, with a 35% increase in the past year.
the staff seem friendly and the ambience is quite comfortable + clean.

Very interesting food - Edit
Wow I was amazed by the innovative approach to vegan food here. Not your usual run of the mill place. Food was fresh, tasty and the menu has a lot to choose from. I had tuna tartar and African chicken, followed by a massive mango pudding dessert. Yes this is a vegan restaurant and there is very little fake meat in sight. Instead great ways of tricking your tastebuds into some mind bending dishes. Dishes are not cheap but ok for central HK, and portions are large. I hope you will be as amazed as I was.

Incredible pizza - Edit
I had a deconstructed ‘duck pancake’ on a pizza and it worked so well. Some of the best mock meat I’ve tasted, was really impressed with this place and wish I had stayed in HK longer to try more of the menu. They also had fish and chips and chicken burgers.

Food was really flavoursome, sweet and sour wrap was great, as were potato skins and poutine! Cocktails weren’t great and very pricey, salt came round one of my classes which I wasn’t expecting and it was pretty gross! And cost me £9 but other than that the food is good! Good location too

My favourite Vegan place in Hong Kong - Edit
We ordered a Peking duck pizza, African style hedgehog mushroom and vegan sashimi with sushi rice and they were incredibly good! The peking duck (made of gluten) with sweet and savoury sauce matched so well together on that pizza. The best vegan pizza i had in years! The afican chicken (hedgehog mushroom) was well cooked and nicely presented. Topped with curry or little spicy gravy and coconut cream sauce. They know how to lit their food on fire🔥

Nice Food & Environment - Edit
my favorite one goes to the RISOTTO. When I have the first bite, I opened my eyes at the largest size and look at my friend. I didn't speak because I just want to enjoy it. My friend who doesn't like risotto thinks that I am too exaggerated, so he tasted a small bite and then reacted just like me, and nodded his head constantly. 😂
